NGO sucks up to Hamas…

February 01st, 2008 | Category: Naughty NonProfits, ROPMA, Terrorism

In this opinion piece in today’s Telegraph. This person has the cheek to expect us to feel sorry for them and talks about “moderate Hamas member.” What is a moderate Hamas member one who just wants to kill Jews but not wipe out Israel?

Gazans supported a terrorist organisation and the world ignores them. Gee I wonder why? I have no sympathy for them at all. It might help their cause a bit if they stopped their fellow Gazans from firing rockets to kill innocent civilians in Israel.

This piece is not shocking. An NGO head sucking up to terrorists. This is the reason NGOs continue to lose credibility and support.

As I have said for a very long time to friends. Next time you think of giving to an NGO make sure you know what they are really up to with your money. Oxfam has been off my list for quite a while and this just makes it clear I was right.

And its not just NGOs that empower Palestinians terrorist “Christian Peace Teams” are at it as well.

As you may or may not already be aware, members of the Watcher’s Council hold a vote every week on what they consider to be the most link-worthy pieces of writing around… per the Watcher’s instructions, I am submitting one of my own posts for consideration in the upcoming nominations process.

Here is the most recent winning council post, here is the most recent winning non-council post, here is the list of results for the latest vote, and here is the initial posting of all the nominees that were voted on.

Bit late…but…

Good parents don’t let their children raise money for UNICEF. There are lots of reasons why its not a good idea. Either on purpose or incompetence UNICEF funds schools of hate in the Middle East.

Colby vs Junk Science

June 27th, 2005 | Category: Naughty NonProfits, Politics

Colby is on a tear about a recent article on a piece of rubbish health science.
He ends with the following:

Yeah, but c’mon, doc. It makes for a way cooler story if we’re all getting cancer from nail polish and laundry detergent, right

Go read the whole thing; ok?

Newsnight get a blog

June 24th, 2005 | Category: Naughty NonProfits, Politics

Newsnig8t is the new blog from Newsnight’s Paul Mason as he covers the G8 conference up in Scotland. It’s a pretty good looking blog; slightly let down by the fact it does not allow comments under the posts. The url is rather clever and amusing. It will be interesting to see if Paul manages to get the whole vibe of the “blog” thing and does not make merely an extension of Newsnight.

Not surprisingly Galloway is planning to cause mischief during the event.

UN a force for good?

January 12th, 2005 | Category: Naughty NonProfits, Political Correctness, Politics

This disgraceful report of UN behaviour appears in today’s DT letters page:

Sir – Having survived the tsunami in Sri Lanka, I have one abiding memory of the aftermath.

On New Year’s Eve, I was returning to my evacuee relief centre, when I passed one of Colombo’s finest restaurants. It was with surprise and dismay that I saw it was filled with freshly suited UN officials, their finely polished official cars and dutiful drivers parked ostentatiously outside (News, Jan 10).

I went to bed early, on the floor of a sports hall along with 500 other displaced tourists. I couldn’t get into a hotel; they were full of aid officials.

It will be interesting to see what Diplomad has to say about this.

Greenpeace, the envirowhores, face the dock

May 14th, 2004 | Category: Naughty NonProfits

Greenpeace, charged with the obscure crime of ‘sailor mongering’ that was last prosecuted 114 years ago, goes on trial on Monday in the first U.S. criminal prosecution of an advocacy group for civil disobedience. The environmental group is accused of sailor mongering because it boarded a freighter in April 2002 that was carrying illegally felled Amazon mahogany to Miami. It says the prosecution is revenge for its criticism of the environmental policies of President Bush, whom it calls the ‘Toxic Texan.’ Sailor mongering was rife in the 19th century when brothels sent prostitutes laden with booze onto ships as they made their way to harbor. The idea was to get the sailors so drunk they could be whisked to shore and held in bondage, and a law was passed against it in 1872. It has only been used in a court of law twice, the last time in 1890.” (05/13/04)

The UN hands are NOT clean!!

March 14th, 2004 | Category: Naughty NonProfits

Surprise ?!.....NOT !!

Iraq has taken things in its own hands and is acting like a sovereign nation instead of waiting for someone else to protect its interests, a sure sign that positive progress is being made. That it will put the UN in a bad light is not a bad consequence, either, for all the world to see.

In a letter to Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary General, an adviser to Iraq’s interim governing council warns that the UN appeared to have “failed in its responsibility” to the Iraqi people and to the international community. “It will not come as a surprise if the Oil-for-Food Programme turns out to have been one of the world’s most disgraceful scams, and an example of inadequate control, responsibility and transparency, providing an opportune vehicle for Saddam Hussein to operate under the UN aegis to continue his reign of terror and oppression,” wrote Claude Hankes-Drielsma, a British businessman and former chairman of the management committee at Price Waterhouse accountants, on March 3.

One can only hope that all the sordid little details are disclosed in full.

…and all this time we thought ?!

September 24th, 2003 | Category: Naughty NonProfits

Snicker

Guess the world had best take another look at some of those higher-than-mighty eco-terrorism groups who prance about and preach at us mere folk who have always had our suspicions about just how innocent they really are. From the people at Public Interest Watch [sorry, no internal linkage] comes a most interesting article entitled ” GREENPEACEACCUSEDOF MONEYLAUNDERINGDONATIONS ”.

... “Greenpeace has devised a system for diverting tax-exempt funds into non-exempt organizations within its empire and using the money for improper and illegal purposes. It is plainly a case of money laundering.”...
The old caveat still stands: Watch Your Wallets!
