Dems sink to new low… on health care

September 30th, 2009 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery

A reprehensible Dem. Rep referred to the deaths “caused by lack of healthcare reform” as “a holocaust”. This was after he apologised to the dead.

A disgraceful way to make a point and an insult to all those who perished in the real Holocaust.

David Appletree gets punted by Facebook…

September 30th, 2009 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery

Dear Activists,

As some of you might know, I received noticed that my account is slated for deactivation in the next 9 hours. Perhaps you can help the situation by writing a short email in support of me and my work here to this address: abuse+d2uutt5@facebook.com

For the latest updates and information please check out the JIDF site and http://www.facebook.com/l/40553;twitter.com/JIDF - many other accounts are slated for deactivation, apparently.

Also, I have created the following group, which address this issue:

Facebook Issues: Privacy, Content Ownership, and Selective TOS Enforcement
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=166365955189

Unfortunately, this seems real, and I will lose over 2 years of correspondence, over 4,000 friends, over 50 groups and pages I created or admin with hundreds of thousands of members and fans, etc.

It just doesn’t seem fair. Point 2 in Facebook’s TOS says that we own our content. Apparently, that’s not the case if some of us have to take certain precautions to protect our privacy, safety, and security.

Thanks for all your support of the years. I hope you’ll continue to support our work - we will try to continue making the fan page active: http://www.facebook.com/thejidf - and we urge you to interact w/ the JIDF site, as people can now leave comments there.

steamed

A stunning collection of photo-realist paintings. You can click through on any individual artist and go to his or her web page. I did just that with Ms. Monks, and I am pleased to report that she has no prices listed. This can mean only one thing: She’s giving them away for free. Which would be exactly in my price range, so I plan to pick up two or three. Maybe more, if she’s willling to include the frames.

For the growing band of AGW Sceptics; the following story is dynamite. And for those who do believe in Al Gore’s highly profitable myth about “Man-Made Global Warming”, it will no doubt feel as comfortable as the rectally inserted suicide bomb that put paid to an Al Qaeda operative earlier this week. LASIK Laser Eye Surgery
Would You Like to See the World
Without Glasses or Contact Lenses?

Wouldn’t it be grand to see clearly without glasses or contact lenses? Millions of people have had LASIK laser eye surgery to improve their vision. It is a popular surgical procedure with a high success rate that can improve your quality of life. If you are tired of glasses or annoyed by contact lenses, LASIK eye surgery may be for you. No matter whether you are nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism, LASIK is a quick ten-minute procedure that can improve your vision. But not everyone will benefit from LASIK, and you should know that LASIK is a medical operation.

What Is LASIK Laser Eye Surgery

LASIK is eye surgery to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. The surgery is performed by an ophthalmologist using a laser. About three million procedures are performed each year. LASIK is an acronym that stands for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis.

Vision defects are caused by irregularities in the cornea, the clear front covering of the eye. This changes how the cornea focuses light coming into the eye. LASIK eye surgery can correct these vision defects by reshaping the cornea. LASIK eye surgery cannot correct presbyopia, so people over 40 will still need glasses for reading.

During LASIK, a flap is cut in the outer part of the cornea and folded back. Then an Excimer laser is used to reshape your cornea. The laser does not burn or cut, but instead vaporizes the underlying tissue of the cornea. The layer of tissue removed may be only ten micrometres thick. Next, the flap is laid back in place and the eye heals.”

Zelaya uses that ole’ tactic

September 24th, 2009 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery

When in doubt blame the Jews Israelis for whatever is happening to you. Yes, this is not satire, the Miami Herald is reporting he is claiming a bunch of Israeli mercenaries are after him.

Honduras’ fallen leader told The Miami Herald he is being subjected to mind-altering gas and radiation — and that `Israeli mercenaries’ are planning to assassinate him.

Surely if they were Israelis mercs he would be dead by now? Don’t what is more offensive that he is being a jew-hater or that he is making Israelis out to be incompetent.

Zelaya is a nutter of this can be sure.

Music Review: The Kentucky Headhunters, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Nick Oliveri, and Jason Aldean

Kenny G: An Evening of Rhythm & Romance

Described by some of aural morphine Kenny G is not universally loved. This is a blu-ray of a live gig G did in San Diego in 2008. The band is amazingly type which is not surprising because the bloke on piano went to high school with him and most of the rest of the band have been playing with him for over 20 years. Its an impressive concert from an obviously talented band. Yes, it would probably put most heavy rock fans to sleep, but there is nothing objectionable about it. The only that comes close is when he holds a note for a very long time, which is irritating in extremis. There is a whole bunch of extras of Xmas music, an interview and other goodies.

This is a good present for the Kenny G in your midst that is for sure. Good value for money from a talented band.

Willie Nelson: The Willie Nelson Special

This is special show from 1985 which he shares along with Ray Charles. There are some amusing bits when a crew heads to his home town in Texas and asks about his early years. No extras at all to speak of and the whole thing is not that long. Still seeing Willie & Charles do each other’s songs and hamming it up is most amusing. Willie fans will probably already have it on video tape, however having this clean and clear DVD is probably a good investment. Not really sure of its value for the rest of us.

A Swiss man, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two Texans are waiting.

“Entschuldigen Sie mich, Sie zu tun sprechen Deutsches?” he asks. The two Texans just stare at him.

“Excusez-moi pour vous faire parlent français?” The two continue to stare.

“parli italiano?” No response.

“¿los di usted habla español?” Still nothing.

So he has a final try: “Tatakalamaani bil arabiyya?”

The Swiss man drives off, extremely disgusted.

The first Texan turns to the second and says, “You know Bubba, maybe we should learn a foreign language.”

Contract from America

“We the People” to Assert the Power to Guide Legislative Direction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 21, 2009

Contact: Ryan Hecker (215.880.2430) or Greg Holloway (512.585.7631)

In an initiative that harkens to the core principles of the Declaration of Independence, the Tea Party Patriots and other grassroots activists have established a project which will enable the American people to establish legislative priorities for their representatives. This new project, called “Contract from America,” offers the public the opportunity to make specific legislative suggestions in thirteen areas of public policy, ranging from health care to ethics reform, energy and environmental issues.

In true grassroots style, Ryan Hecker, from Houston, Texas, conceptualized and created the Contract from America, and brought it to the Tea Party Patriots. In discussing the project, he spoke of the need for more public involvement in the determination of America’s public policies. “Over the past decades, the majority of ideas and policies have originated in the backrooms of lobbyists and legislators in Washington DC. New legislation has often originated from special interests. These ideas and policies have proven to be tired and ineffective. I know the American people have better ideas for our government. Contract from America is their opportunity.”

Contractfromamerica.com was launched immediately prior to the Stand up for Liberty! rallies held in Texas and Ohio over the Labor Day Weekend, and was announced to the nation at the 9-12 March on Washington.

As ideas are offered online by grassroots visitors, individuals will be able to vote on ideas or suggest alternatives in each category. Editors selected from among tea party activists from around the country will choose the top three ideas in each policy area. A vote of the people will select the ideas to be presented to elected officials as the choices of the people.

Hecker noted further, “This website provides Americans with the opportunity to offer their innovative solutions to our nation’s pressing problems and to vote and comment on the ideas of others. We believe that the result of this grassroots-generated marketplace of ideas will be a document that not only represents the will of the American people, but promotes unique ideas that will breathe new life and new trust into American government. We will have a Contract From America for which we are all responsible and in which we all feel a sense of ownership.”

Ten Ways Crooks Steal Your Identity
Identity Theft ~ Are You Safe?
Learn How to Protect Yourself.

In the electronic age, your identity is represented by the set of numbers and codes that describe you. Name, date of birth, Social Security number, credit card numbers, bank account number and mother’s maiden name are all that’s necessary to impersonate you and make transactions in your name. A new breed of criminals who don’t carry weapons are exploiting the system for their own benefit. Their crime is called identity theft.

“But he that filches from me my good name
Robs me of that which not enriches him
And makes me poor indeed.” - Shakespeare, Othello
Identity Theft Is the Fastest Growing Crime in America

What actually is identity theft? Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personally identifying information, like your name, Social Security number, or credit card number, without your permission, to commit fraud or other crimes. According to the FTC, more than 9 million Americans have their identities stolen each year. This is the fastest growing crime in America. Identity theft is an absolute epidemic. In 1998, Congress made identity theft a federal offense.

In cases of identity theft, the victim often has to prove his or her innocence. This astonishes most new identity theft victims. They naturally expect the police, the credit grantors, the credit-reporting agencies and others in high places to help them. Maybe it should be that way…but often it isn’t.”
