Obama: A salute, a chant and possible trouble
The One’s acceptance rally with 75,000 bouncing, screaming, and fainting fans could easily look like a cross between a Grateful Dead concert and another era’s Teutonic rally. They have the chant (O-bam-a), they have the salute and they have the haircut. If the cult of The Chosen One has gotten out of hand, the Speech — or is it a “happening”?
Andrew says: Lets hope McCain lets loose the dogs of politics once the conventions are over. His adverts so far have been a wee bit limp to be honest.

Really enjoying this mini-series on TNT (well their website). Might have something to do with the car though; not bad plot either.

Like this week’s at Watkins Glen are so much fun to watch. No surprise that a couple of road race veterans in the form of Marcus Ambrose (Aussie) and Juan Pablo Montoya (Mexico) were near the top of the standings. I started getting interested in NASCAR again once I heard they were doing road tracks; now I like it so I have non-politics/music thing to chat with blokes about.
I would love to see Jason Plato or some of the other top BTCC get into NASCAR. I would be guessing me might be involved in a few wrecks like this one.

Andrew says: Its amusing to see our local wood dealer, who my parents use, appearing in the mass market US Today. Well done to all involved.
