Defending punishing people for getting their drugs privately…
These people are being forgotten and I feel I need to speak out for them. I do not understand how this can be interpreted as cruel or unreasonable.
(Dr) Hamish Meldrum, Chairman, BMA council, London WC1
The fact that this fool, the head of the BMA, does not understand why people think its immoral to deny treatment to people because they had the temerity to sort themselves out instead of waiting for the NHS is what is wrong with the NHS. Playing the politics of envy with people’s lives is beneath contempt.

Its very sad to hear of the death of Tony Snow. He was a great man.
It is much poignant for me as I just completed chemo for colon cancer (I was diagnosed at 39) and wait for my next colonscopy to get the all clear. Lets us hope that his death will be viewed by many as a good reason to get themselves checked for colon/bowel cancer. 53 is too damn young to die in this day and age. Remember Tony and get yourself checked if you are over 30!
