Blogging the Chemo: Fin’

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Health

Well my last bit of chemo has been introduced into my body and PICC line is finally out. I am free of chemo (permanently one hopes) and just have to face various tests to make sure the cancer is well and truly gone.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff of both the chemo day unit and the trial I was on; both at North Middlesex Hospital. After Kim’s horrific experience at St Thomas’ I did view the whole thing with a bit of trepidation back in the dark days of January. However, after a few teething problems all round, things went swimmingly. They are truly decent people trying to do a good job in face of the emotion and angst of cancer patients (and quite frankly in some complete and utter disregards for their fellow man).

No question of Sharia courts in UK but…

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery, ROPMA, UK Politics

On the ways Sharia could play a role he said: “There is no reason why Sharia principles, or any other religious code, should not be the basis for mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

But the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Phillips, said the set of principles could be used in “mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution”.

There has already been a Muslim lawyer on Sky blasting anyone who disagrees with this sentiment. Alas the host who did manage a few decent questions, but failed to point out that Sharia is completely at odds with English Common Law.

One has to think the pressure for more Sharia law in the UK from Muslims (whether light or not) is due to the fact that they loath the fact that English common law has its roots in Jewish rabbinical law.

Does the concept of you come to a country and you have to abide by their laws not register with these people?

Update: Malik MP is now comparing the Muslim “plight” in the UK to that of Jews in Europe last century. Does he realise what a load of utter tosh he is peddling?

Update II: Douglas Carswell MP has made up for his daft ideas about Obama with a great piece about the above subject over at Centreright.

Update III: Centreright has an interesting discussing of sharia & slavery…cue excuses and obscure references to the Old Testament.

Wayne Alllen Root… Why did they pick Barr?

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Politics

Wayne Root has been accused in the past as having a heluva lot of Chuztpa. In the latest edition of Queerty, an major on-line magazine for Gay/Lesbian Americans, Root doesn’t back down. In response to a question on the issue of special rights for Gays and Minorities, he equates government-forced Affirmative Action to “Big Brother Socialism.”

Andrew says: As my UK colleagues would say “sound!”

Joy Johnson, Torture Dem, Iraqi Human Shield and Anti-Israel

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery, Politics

For those who wonder why anti-war liberals like Joy Johnson would have worked so hard to fight for Saddam Hussein’s brutal regime which conducted horrifying torture and ethnic cleansing, a peek behind the mask is very revealing. How many of those liberals in truth identified with the torturers? How many like Joy Johnson wanted to be the torturers?

Andrew says: Using the word liberal is this post is a bit of non-started. These extreme-left nitwits will support anyone no matter how vile as long as they 1. hate-Jews 2. hate Americans 3. support other extremists.

Happy Birthday USA

July 04th, 2008 | Category: Announcements, Anti-Americanism, Guns & other weaponry

I hope all my readers have a good 4th of July where ever they might live.

G.o.D.’s tune Cry Freedom seems appropriate for this day. In more ways than one for me.

Update: Naturally a British journo has to have a go at US gun laws on the 4th. Typical kind of sneering anti-Americanism we have come to expect from First Post.
