SCOTUS gets it right
Shockingly the Supreme Court of the US got something right for a change. They have declared the DC gun ban as unconstitutional. The NRA are now going to challenge the other cities that have these obviously unconstitutional bans on their citizens. Cue the ignorant articles in the UK media about this.

Ah, we drank and danced merrily into the wee hours of the morning. I expected Roberts to write the opinion, with an ultimate tally of 6-3 with concurrences. Instead, we got a MUCH stronger ruling than I expected, opinion by Scalia, and a clean 5-4 majority. Kudos to El Nino, who predictably just couldn’t resist some smart@ss dicta in the opinion (”It would be rather like saying “he filled and kicked the bucket” to mean “he filled the bucket and died.”). I had the privilege of meeting El Nino fifteen years ago, and can confirm his saturnine sense of humor.
Souter is as big a turncoat as Dope John Paul Stevens, who looked old and frail when I met him seventeen years ago. DROP, d@mn you!
