African leaders are cowards…
They cannot even manage mentioning Mugabe and his genocidal behaviour. And we should care about the continent why?
3 comments7 Words You Can’t Say in Campaign 2008
Holy #$%@! Do you mean we can’t say *$@#! when talking about Obama’s record or x%x#$! if we want to discuss attacks on McCain?

To be stabbed or shot?
I was having a chat with a few friends Saturday night about the spate of knife violence in London as compared to “shootings” in several American cities. I pointed out to them that is probably better to be shot at if you don’t want to die. Its bloody hard to hit a moving target especially if you are moving as well. (That is why innocents get a hit a lot of the time.)
While being knifed is a much more intimate affair and one is more likely to meet a dire end like the poor chap in Islington Saturday night. Its a hell of a lot harder to miss/hit something vital if you are standing less than a foot away than from 20 yards with a gun. Just because everyone in the movies is a crack shot does mean its so in real life. Pulling out a knife and using it against someone shows quite a bit of commitment to harm as well.

1 commentObamabot Plot To Silence NObama Bloggers?
s hasn’t gotten any MSM play—and I’ve not seen it among my fellow conservatives. But the Obama “No Dissent Express” bus to Hell has driven over a number of PUMA bloggers this week—as a number of them were mysteriously shut down/blocked by Blogger as “spam blogs” after multiple reports by other users.

One has to wonder if the outbreak of salmonella all over the US (which jumped a third in number) might be man-helped because its sure causing lots of chaos. There are Islamists in Mexico and who knows what they might be up to. Does focus the mind on food safety it has to be said. Then again it could just centre in Florida.
Another good reason to buy local produce if you possibly can. It helps your local farmers too.

...these votes are dumb for different reasons. The vote result might be what’s dumb. Or the topic of the vote. Or the circumstances surrounding the vote. No matter what…they are all dumb.

SCOTUS gets it right
Shockingly the Supreme Court of the US got something right for a change. They have declared the DC gun ban as unconstitutional. The NRA are now going to challenge the other cities that have these obviously unconstitutional bans on their citizens. Cue the ignorant articles in the UK media about this.

Icke vs David Davis for MP
Arch conspirazoid loon David Icke is standing against David Davis in the upcoming bye-election. The bloke believes in the one world government paranoia, is probably a jew-hater and thinks that lizards are running the world. He has fans in the Muslim community due his 9/11 truther beliefs.
2 commentsFree trade…not really…MEP doesn’t get it
“I am in favour of organised and well controlled free trade.”
From Charles Tannock MEP over at Centreright clearly not getting the whole “free trade” concept. Just in case you were wondering he is a Conservative. And people wonder why many think that Camoron and his lot are socialist-light.
Clearly he needs Butler’s new book.
As Iain Murray of the CEI pointed out. This Drew Carey video on free trade is a simple primer.
No commentsSmoke Free England?
You know it’s been a good event when Dr Eamonn Butler, director of the Adam Smith Institute, emails to say, “Jolliest party of the year! Thank you so much”...
On the cigar terrace and out on the street, at the front of the building, nothing was going to stop guests lighting up. Smoke-free England? I don’t think so.
Andrew says: My beloved and I chose to attend this event as my first since I started feeling better chemo-wise. It was a great event that we all enjoyed greatly. Even Michael White of the Guardian seemed to enjoy himself.

No Hard Feelings,
Barack Obama on Tuesday vowed he would break America’s addiction to “dirty, dwindling, and dangerously expensive” oil if he is elected U.S. president – and one of his first targets might well be Canada’s oilsands.A senior adviser to Obama’s campaign told reporters it’s an “open question” whether oil produced from northern Alberta’s oilsands fits with the Democratic candidate’s plan to shift the U.S. sharply away from consumption of carbon-intensive fossil fuels.
Oh well, can’t put nothin’ by you, huh? I guess we’ll have to build that pipeline out to the coast and wait, wait, wait for someone—anyone—to buy our filthy oil.
In the meantime, good luck replacing 1/4 of your imports. I’m sure your Saudi “friends” will be delighted to accomodate you. For certain considerations, of course.

Obama: Friend of Israel? Hardly…
Ed Lasky puts paid to the assertion by many, including Obama at AIPAC, that the Democratic contender is a friend of Israel & Jews. Lasky convincingly states why this is far from the case. Obama is saying nice things now to get elected; but look at his record and realise what he really believes.

Tories for Obama
You would think the folks over at a site called ConservativeHome would be hoping that the Republican wins in November. You would be wrong, of course, now Douglas Carswell MP has come out for Obama. There is a counterpost at least. Needless to say there are those who keep banging on that Obama is not actually that left.
I could see someone like Carswell making the case for voting LP but Obama? Carter Mark II?
Update: The increasingly useless DT lets its writers shill for Obama. The latest piece in the comment section is beyond pathetic.

Boumediene: A Supremely Problematic Court Decision
It should also be noted that Senator Obama thinks that the decision in Boumediene v Bush is an excellent one. I don’t know what’s worse: that he doesn’t understand what the Court has done … or that he actually does and still thinks this was a sound ruling. Good luck to all of us.
Andrew says: Fred Thompson writes a really good piece for PJM on the recent Gitmo decision. Well worth the effort to read it.

A chance for Europe to face the New Truth
And now, since the Irish voted no in a referendum on a plan to reorganize the EU, and the EU’s leaders held a flailing, ineffectual summit meeting to talk about what has been called a body blow to the community’s integrated future, Europe is asking how to heal itself.

I think you will agree with the people who voted this that destinction. Celion Dion butchers an AC/DC classic.
Shania Twain on the other hand, in a leather catsuit, demonstrates how to do a cover properly.

Some Man Raze and a bit of Bret Michaels; care to guess which is the better of the two? I am bummed that I have to move on in my reviewing listens. Yes, one of these two is that good.
