A question for my gun fans…re: Obama
Obama was taking the piss out of Hilary about her duck hunting tales. He claimed she would head out “with a six shooter” to hunt ducks. Would anyone actually hunts ducks with a six shooter? Surely its more a shotgun type of hunting. I guess you might be able to hit a duck with a scoped revolver, but it would be bloody hard. And if you hit the thing wouldn’t a normal slug pulverise the duck?
Is this another example of how out of touch Obama is with middle America?
BTW: Is he a marxist?

It’s another blatant Hillary lie. Hunting migratory waterfowl (ducks, geese) with any pistol other than a short-barrelled rifle (think Remchester X-100 bolt-action types) is a violation of all kinds of law and regulation. In the United States, hunting, even in pro-hunting states, has a lot of restrictions which are less about gun control and more about game management, safety and sportsmanship. Before the Migratory Waterfowl Act, hunters in Maine would lie in punts with a 4 gauge (yes, “4″ gauge) shotgun, blow a whistle, and yank the lanyard as the ducks all took wing. Donalds would rain out of the sky like kamikazi over Okinawa. Anyway, it is not physically impossible that Hillary shot at a duck with a revolver, and if she wants to try to spin this yarn, she will claim she used handgun shotshells (I have some for my .44s, and they can be useful against snakes, voles, and home intruders in apartment buildings but NOT against birds). Regardless, it is almost certainly illegal in every state in which she has resided (even Arkansas), probably a violation of federal law even then, and far beyond her probably limited marksmanship skills. That said, it is not totally physically impossible; during the Second World War, 2nd Lieutenent Owen J. Baggett reliably claimed to have downed a Japanese zero fighter with his issue M1911A1 pistol under bizarre circumstances. He had bailed out of his B-24 Liberator, and the Jap strafed him in his parachute. He played dead. The Jap did a slow stalling flyby of him with his cockpit canopy open. Baggett pulled his .45 and shot offhand, tagging and bagging Mister Jap between the eyes. But that wasn’t Hill.
Oh, on rereading I think I misunderstood. You mean that Obama made the six shooter statement and Hillary did not. In that case, yeah, he is demonstrating an ignorance about hunting, not surprising considering his background.
