Man stabs two Jews

April 30th, 2008 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery

In Golders Green in a random attack. He happens to be a Muslim. But, of course, its not a hate crime…oh no. Wonder if they would be so understanding if it were the other way round.

FBI Stats Don’t Support Claims That GTA is Cop Killer Game

April 30th, 2008 | Category: Politics

With today’s Grand Theft Auto IV launch, criticism of the controversial series has hit an all-time high. Critics of GTA invariably single out two types of violence as particularly worrisome.

Andrew says: Does this piece surprised anyone except for idiot politicians trying to make a name for themselves?

The outrageous cost of the London Olympics

April 30th, 2008 | Category: Politics

Shock horror…those spoiled jocks are costing the taxpayer millions and millions over what they promised it would cost. The colossal waste of time, effort and money that is the London Olympics continues. Its spiraling out of control as was predicted by its critics.

Ken and Seb Coe might have “won” the Olympic bid but everyone else in London lost big time.

Boris goes for it

April 30th, 2008 | Category: UK Politics

Tomorrow we see London go to the polls to elect their new mayor and members of the mostly powerless London assembly. The Conservatives are running one Boris Johnson, a man who is dismissed by his critics as a gormless toff and a joke. However I know the man and have spent many an hour with him. He is the anti-thesis of the arrogant thug that is Ken Livingstone. I am quite sure that Boris will not be supporting Islamists like al Qaradawi and his ilk. I am betting that Boris will not be a source of jobs for ex-Trots, Marxists and whatever far-left dross is about. He also cares a bit more about the business of London and less about using the office to further anti-capitalist/anti-Jew/anti-American/anti-everything else like Ken.

Yes, he may not be the perfect candidate for the office; which candidate ever is in the end? He is by far better than Ken and he is the only one who has a chance to beat him.

Despite my admiration for Ken I don’t actually think Boris’ll pull it off. There are too many people with too much to lose if Ken does not get back in. I suspect there will be voter fraud to make sure Ken remains. The left and his other allies will do everything they possibly can, both legal and illegal, to keep the nasty Tory out of the office. I do hope the Conservatives are going to make sure they keep a close eye on the whole thing. It could get rather messy.

Best of luck Boris; you are going to bloody well need it!

Update: Worsthorne is kicking Boris for same reason as Heffer. Read Oliver Kamm on Ken over at PJM.

The Coolidge Effect

April 30th, 2008 | Category: Gnotalex, Sex

Coolidge

Scientists know this reflex as the “Coolidge Effect.” It earned its name many years ago when [US President Calvin] Coolidge and his wife were touring a farm. While the President was elsewhere, the farmer proudly showed Mrs. Coolidge a rooster that “could copulate with hens all day long, day after day.” Mrs. Coolidge coyly suggested that the farmer tell that to Mr. Coolidge, which he did.

The President thought for a moment and then inquired, “With the same hen?”

“No, sir,” replied the farmer.

“Tell that to Mrs. Coolidge,” retorted the President.

One Angry Man: Should we worry about McCain’s temper?

April 29th, 2008 | Category: Politics

What a good time to shift the subject to the temperament (or temper) of Sen. John McCain.

Andrew says: If this is the worst they throw at McCain its going to be a fun run to November. He gets mad…well who doesn’t?

BBC “censored Christian party broadcast” - Times Online

April 29th, 2008 | Category: Politics

The BBC is facing a High Court challenge over its decision to censor a party political broadcast in the run-up to Thursday’s local elections. A Christian party has begun legal action after the corporation insisted on changes to a short film in which the party voiced opposition to the building of Europe’s biggest mosque next to the site of the 2012…

Chickenfeedhawks: Global warm-mongering.

April 29th, 2008 | Category: Politics

When you divert 28 percent of U.S. grain into fuel production, and when you artificially make its value as fuel higher than its value as food, why be surprised that you’ve suddenly got less to eat? Or, to be more precise, it’s not “you” who’s got less to eat but those starving peasants in distant lands you claim to care so much about.

Its Steyn so you know its a damn good piece.

Cheap pints for MPs

April 29th, 2008 | Category: Politics

Those of you still bristling at Alistair Darling’s alcohol tax hike might be interested to learn how little MPs can buy their beer for in the taxpayer subsidised bars in the Houses of Parliament. For comparison I add alongside the prices from a couple of random London pubs whose drinks prices I have been able to find on the internet…

Wright @ the National Press Club

April 28th, 2008 | Category: Politics

Watched the whole thing and am speechless at the arrogance and vile nature of this man. I hope there is a transcript out on this quick. Read the highlights and be stunned. He has pretty much hung Obama out to dry. Criticism of the Wright according to him is in fact an attack “on the black church”. Rather than distancing himself from all the vile comments he has made over the years; he reiterated many of them much of the time using the Bible to defend himself. He also lauded the Sandinistas (you know atheistic murderous communists?), Farrahkan and Castro. He was rude and patronising to compare at the event: including patronising her religion.

Juan Williams of NPR was devastating in his analysis of the speech.

I almost feel sorry for Obama now.

Oh yes and Rev. Wright…slagging off the press never did you any favours.

Here is transcript and if you care about his NAACP speech its here.

Good piece on PJM about the whole nutty event.

Johann Hari: Israel is suppressing a secret it must face

April 28th, 2008 | Category: Politics

When you hit your 60th birthday, most of you will guzzle down your hormone replacement therapy with a glass of champagne and wonder if you have become everything you dreamed of in your youth. In a few weeks, the state of Israel is going to have that hangover.

Andrew says: Hari does himself no service with this piece of rubbish. Rather interesting reaction to it; one has to say.

He is called Lord LAIDlaw and everyone is shocked he is a sex addict. How could he not be? Think of the pressure on the poor guy. Good to see there are some interesting Tories left and they are not all the po-faced stuff shirts that Cameron seems to want to surround himself with.

Cthulhu moved to the Northwest

April 27th, 2008 | Category: Amusements, Andrew's Cthulhu tales

Some of his possible minions are turning up on the Pacific coast recently. It seems that the Old One finds a better class of loons on that side of the country than in his traditional stomping ground of New England. So can anyone tell me if there is an Innsmouth, Seattle? Might explain the whole miserable grunge movement at least.

Of course, I see squid that big and I just think how good it might taste. Speaking of which squid is on the menu for me today :D

This is what Israel is up against…

April 27th, 2008 | Category: Anti-Semitism/Jewery

All the Zio-fascist propoganda posted here reflects nothing but the Israel Uber Alles crowd. Israel is the greatest threat to world peace. No other nation has used such mass terror to ethnically cleanse its lands to allow the theft of the another peoples’ homeland. No other nation uses nuclear blackmail to intimidate its neighbors. No other nation has stolen as many secrets from its biggest benefactor. No other nation allows such racist religious fundamentalists in its parliament (Shas is worse than any Iranian). No other nation has such a disregard for human rights. No other nation has launched as many wars of aggression (1947, 1956, 1967, 1982, 2006). No other nation has such a racist foundation.

Israel delanda est.

UK is Europe’s top terror centre

April 27th, 2008 | Category: Politics

Britain has become the main focus of Islamist terror in Europe, according to official figures. More Muslim extremists were detained in Britain last year on terror-related charges than in the rest of Europe added together. The number of arrests rose steeply and involved “young, radicalised British citizens”, sparking fears…

Andrew says: No doubt Ken and his buddies will be pleased.

Mekuri Master

April 26th, 2008 | Category: Games, Gnotalex

MEKURI.jpg

I’m the Mekuri Master, the Skirt-Flip King. The name isn’t their idea… It’s mine. I’m a man who was born to lift skirts. You think any so-called “rules” are gonna stop me? When classes get out, I race through the corridors like a fearsome wind, flipping, flipping, flipping up girls’ skirts and letting the whole world know that I am the Mekuri Master!

Only in Japan, you say? (Or possibly Scotland.)

At any rate, click and drag the girls’ skirts upwards as the “Mekuri Master” passes by. There’s more explanation of the scoring, bonus rounds, etc. on the page—scroll down to see it. Or you could watch this YouTube clip. Click here or on the picture to start. (If you want to play again after finishing the game, just click on the ending screen.)

Warning: Apart from the content (no nudity, but doubtlessly offensive to some), there’s music and sound effects, both of which you can mute with buttons at the bottom right (marked with a speaker cone and the letters “BSG” respectively).

Harman to the Tories

The British blogosphere, thanks to Adam Bolton, are abuzz with the news according to Harriet Harman’s blog that she has defected to the Tories. My only big question is why would anyone actually this woman in their party?

It smells of a hoax but its rather amusing nonetheless. If she has defected she might want to keep that stab vest she used round her constituency.

The Redneck Mansion

April 25th, 2008 | Category: Gnotalex, Stuff

rm3This picture, allegedly of some trailer park arrangement, has been making the rounds lately. Turns out, though, that it’s actually an open-air set built for the Theater het Amsterdam Bos, for a 1995 production of Chekhov’s Ivanov. More pictures (including the audience seating) here.

Not being familiar with the play, I looked it up on Wikipedia. It’s a tragedy set in rural Russia in the 19th century, so I guess the producers figured it was transferable to a more modern setting. No idea whether it worked or not.

NUTs on strike & oil workers too

April 24th, 2008 | Category: UK Politics

The National Union of Teachers have forced lots of parents all over the country to take time off to look after their children who are out of school thanks to the greedy whingeing teachers who are part of the union. Most of the people hits hardest are those on a far lower income to the teachers. Not that many of them are any good at teaching anyway.

In Scotland, land of Gordon’s birth, we have refinery workers planning to strike for two days hurting the supplies of petrol to both Scotland and Northern England.

Teachers and oil workers holding the country to ransom. More shades of the 70s methinks.

Update: Don’t look now but it seems that other unions are eyeing strikes this summer.
