Reticence is no answer…
Instead of cowering in the face of the cretins who abuse those in uniform why not seek the out and stand up to them. The RAF brass responsible for this should be ashamed of themselves. The scum who abuse them should be suffering not their men and women in uniform. If need be find out who they are and go visit the wankers abusing soldiers when they are out on the town. Kicking three shades of dung out of the cowards will teach them.

In the States these days, it is generally against regs for soldiers to wear their uniforms while performing personal errands like pumping gas, hauling trash, and other “undignified” things. This also serves to prevent interservice brawls in the drinking districts. It further might prevent misunderstandings in the more … mountainous states, where a bunch of soldiers in the unfamiliar uniforms of today might provoke armed local resistance to a suspected invasion. The funny part is that you probably think I am making this up.
