Comedians are so used to being flippant that all too often, dangerous truisms tumble from their mouths. Asked about who he hoped would win the US presidential elections, the Irish TV presenter Graham Norton sighed and told me: “I hope Obama doesn’t get it, I’m afraid, because he’s black and he would be shot. I hope Hillary gets in because if she gets shot at least she’s had more of a life. Obama is so young. There are so many loons out there that I think these people are very brave to put themselves forward for it.”
What is it with those suffering with Obamaitis going on to whomever will listen that if he wins he will get killed? Is it they are setting themselves up for his not winning and wheeling this out for an excuse? Or is their hatred for the non-left US so much they can’t imagine Americans electing a black President.
The guy is not going to be elected President, hopefully, because he is an inexperience one-trick-pony who has dubious friends and a clear of good judgement. He is not the right choice for President in the time of war. It has nothing to do with the race card in November.

The ASI reports on the foolish idea from Marks & Spencer to charge customers 5p per plastic bag they use. No doubt the think this envirofascist ruze is a great way to attract new customers. M&S have been having less than stunning results of late. Methinks they might want to look at their rude staff and the fact that they block mobiles in their stores. M&S used to be a great British institution now its a pathetic excuse for a store. Rubbish quality, rude staff and this type of idiocy is now par for the course.
