Britain no longer “a free economy”
The Telegraph reports that a recent Heritage report has removed Britain from the top tier of free economies. While the UK heads down the pack; former Soviet Block nations are racing up the chart past countries like Italy and Greece. There are no signs that Brown and Co. are going to reduce the trend either.
The recently announced entrepeneur tax does not bode well for the future. Once a socialist always a socialist eh? And people were so keen to get rid of Blair.

Republican race wide open…
For some reason Peter Franklin thinks this is a bad thing. I think its a great. While on the Democratic side its a two-horse race which is problem for Democrats (they are either racists or sexist depending on whom they vote for) we have got a good ruck going on in the Republicans.
As a friend of mine just said; we might have brokered Republican convention for the first time in many a moon. This retail politics at its best. The candidates are having to put up or shut up. This run will be a test of their metal. We are starting to see what some of the candidates are like under pressure.
Many people complain that they don’t have enough influence on who gets chosen as the nominee. Well this time they may get a lot more say than they have for a long time.
Brokered convention an embarassment? Hardly its just another example of how strong the American democracy is despite its critics.
No commentsHear Huckaloon and shudder
“[Some of my opponents] do not want to change the Constitution, but I believe it
’s a lot easier to change the constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God, and that’s what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards,” Huckabee said.
I have to agree with Bill Quick. If this nut gets the nod for the Republicans I won’t vote this time. I can’t vote for a socialist on the Democrat ticket either. Obama vs Huckabee would be really bad for the US. Secular socialist vs Christian socialist…ugh.

No commentsLet Apple know you’re upset with the iPod Touch Apps rip off
Apple decided to make users pay for the iPod touch full update (the one that brings iPhone apps to iPod Touch).
Let them know your feelings about it. This is pretty bad all around. Without mail the Touch is a bit useless. Charging people for functions that should have been there in the first place is pretty lame.

Thanks AT&T and Apple
For completely fuxxoring my iPhone because I did today’s update outside the US. It would have been nice if there was bloody warning about that. So I now have a useless phone than won’t let me restore all my setting or anything. Why do AT&T treat their users this way? Do they want to piss them off?
