Man bites dog and a possible miscarriage of justice

November 04th, 2007 | Category: Amusements

This news item is certainly worth your attention:

Police say a man bit an officer and his dog Friday after trying to stiff a cab driver on an early morning fare.

Capt. Rich Lockhart said the suspect broke the skin on an officer’s hand when he bit him. The man then nearly bit the ear off the police dog. Lockhart said a cab driver told a police officer at 2:15 a.m. that someone had refused to pay a fare. When the officer found the man nearby and got out of his car to stop him, Lockhart said, the man spun around and punched the officer.

Lockhart said the officer used a remote control to release his police dog from the patrol car, and the dog joined the fight. After the dog bit the suspect, the man bit back and nearly took off the dog’s ear.

OK, so they apprehended the irate customer eventually, but what do we see as a result?

The suspect has been charged with stealing, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

That is TWO police officers, you dummies!

A couple fewer morons on TV

November 04th, 2007 | Category: Television

It seems Richard & Judy are “quitting” their show. If you want to see the caliber of the people who like the dross check out the comments below the piece. They so loved their audience they ripped them off to the tune of millions with their call-ins. Could this be the first step in the reversal of the dumbing-down of TV? I doubt it but its nice to see some crap ending rather than something good.

Richard is really good with his clangers; check out his comments on the Pope and on WWII.

Oh yeah and who believes those two actually read the books on their book club? Hearing them attempt to chat intelligently about any of them convinces anyone sensible that their researchers read them and brief them.
