Colonoscopy aftermath
It was actually quite an easy experience. From the preparation last night; I was blogging throughout through the actual procedure today. I made sure to get a copy of the photos. I have a before and after one. Here is me in my medical gown.
And here is my colon is vibrant colour.
Some of you requested that I live-blog the entire thing. Alas, as they put you out during it; I was unable to iPhone blog it. However it seemed quite a good thing and hopefully the biopsy will show me to be fairly healthy in that area.
I am glad I have done it. As someone from a family with some cancer history in that area of the body its a good idea that I had it. I was supposed to start having them at 40; so I merely jumped the gun by about 4 months.
BTW the one thing I learned is that it helps a lot if you don’t eat that much in the few days leading up to the procedure. I think the whole getting cleaning out bit with the saline went far easier as I had been eating rather little since the weekend. If you lightly chill the saline solution it goes down nicely. Try and do it in front of TV or a computer or something. Not concentrating on it helps as well.
