Terrorist Celebration Day…

October 08th, 2007 | Category: Political Correctness, ROPMA, Terrorism

aka Al Quds with yer host with the most George Galloway MP and his merry band of terrorist appeasers, activists and hangers on. For real fun watch his speech where he pretty much praises every terrorist you can think of; the invokes Allah to deliver Jerusalam (ie Al Quds) to Islam. But he is not preaching hate and neither are the rest of the speakers…nah course not. Islam is a religion of peace doncha know?

Harry’s Place organised a counter demo.

Speaking of taking a stand; Christopher Hitchens makes a plea for us all making a stand to protect Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Pajamas Media has more on the situation.

Happy Columbus Italian empowerment Day

October 08th, 2007 | Category: Political Correctness

Despite the fact that there is ample evidence the Vikings made it to the North American mainland way before Columbus, Italian-Amricans still insist on saying Columbus “discovered” America. There is even evidence that Columbus was using a map on his way West.

Which takes more courage? Getting into a Viking long-boat and heading across the North Altantic or getting into a sailing ship that by comparison was luxurious (especially for the Captain).

To be honest the US should have a “Italy Day” today and just ditch the historically inaccurate Columbus Day. Then if they want a day to celebrate the discovery of the continent by Europeans give credit where its due. Leif Erikson Day anyone?

See you in Ragnarok.

Bjorn again

October 08th, 2007 | Category: Envirofascism, Political Correctness

No not the ABBA tribute band; the other famous Bjorn. Lomberg is back with a new book that will annoy the envirofascists even more. There is a good interview on the Times Online with the man. Irony, of course, is that its in Art & Entertainment instead of the Science section. I guess the Times weren’t that brave with the interview.

If not, it’s up to you to do something about it. Life is too short to put up with other people’s pity parties, bitch-and-moan marathons, and oh-woe-is-me clubs. (Enjoy soothing instrumental music as you read plus songs with lyrics related to each article all free.)”

Interested in watches

October 08th, 2007 | Category: Stuff

Recently we got a catalogue at my parents house all about the latest watches around. Now these watches ranged from the rather neat to the downright bizarre with price ranges to match. Now I am not into watches like many men we know; however one of the watches in this magazine was so odd and eccentric I would even be willing to wear it. I dont normally wear a watch at all; but something this bizarre with its steampunk attitude might just convince me otherwise.

And with any of sort of hobby; if you want become a watch hobbyist you need to know what you are doing. Its amazing what a bit of tender loving care can do to the value of an older watch. There are lots of auctions online and offline only too willing to help sell your collectable watches.

You might even be interested in a watch article to get you on your way. As with most any hobby there is a myriad of information on the web about it. It always pays to know where to get the correct and accurate information you need easily and quickly. Watch collecting and home repair is really no different.
