Texas Woman Claims to Have Found Mythical ‘Chupacabra’

September 01st, 2007 | Category: Politics

“CUERO, Texas — Phylis Canion lived in Africa for four years. She’s been a hunter all her life and has the mounted heads of a zebra and other exotic animals in her house to prove it. But the roadkill she found last month outside her ranch was a new one even for her, worth putting in a freezer hidden from curious onlookers…”

September 01st, 2007 | Category: Politics

Iain Dale is taking a brave move and asking his readers to redesign his logo for him. The site is pretty popular and no doubt has quite a few graphic designers as readers. It will be fascinating to see what poeple come up with for his logo. We all got our ideas I am sure.

jackson

Ok, ok, but I had no choice. That (pun? joke?) has been ricocheting around in my head the last couple of weeks, with me thinking that I’d never have a chance to use it.

Then this.

Call it kismet, call it fate. Who are we to question the Workings of the Universe?

Tupelo Kenyon presents Methods As Temporary Tools Instead of Lifetime Crutches posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, “We are obsessed with our methods. We become attached to our particular way of doing things. The trouble comes when we cling to an old method that we have outgrown. We feel bogged down and then stuck when our personal development potential is being limited by an outdated method. If your method feels more like a crutch than a tool, it’s time to take an objective look at it. Is the method in question bringing you peace and joy? Is it helping your personal growth, or is it just a familiar and comfortable habit of thought? (Enjoy soothing instrumental music as you read plus songs with lyrics related to each article – all free.)”

Care for a bit Anglo-Roman history?

September 01st, 2007 | Category: England

A wonderful part of England’s history is Hadrian’s Wall; something built to keep the Scots out of England. To this day it stands as an example of the differences between the English and the Scots. Its an impressive structure that still stands to this day; amply demonstrating the power of Rome and the strength of the Roman Empire. If you are in the UK on holiday its a place to visit if you have any historical interest whatever. If you are a walker it might be a good idea to look at self catering brampton so you can spend a few days in the area. Its impressive country with something ancient at every turn.
