Tories call for 10 pc rise in tax on drink
The Conservative Party, in their never ending attempts to ape the left-of-centre in the UK, are now going for collective punishment. Because some people cannot handle their drink, everyone who drinks is going to be fined another 10pc on the cost of their booze. Instead of going after the cretins who are violent drunks we all have to suffer. Fair?

Update: My beloved suggested it might not be the wisest move to announce that a punative tax before the election. Even better this is a punative tax that will hurt everyone, whatever their income, equally. Not the most intelligent way to get elected methinks.

A page 3 girl was just on Sky talking about climate change. She had a basic grasp of it and was concerned because “the weather changes all the time.”
She was on plugging her tips for saving the planet.
When asked if it should be compulsory by the host: “yeah I think we should get the the government involved and it should be compulsory.”
