France decides its fate

May 06th, 2007 | Category: Politics

This is a pretty good week for those of us fascinated in elections and electioneering. We had the local goverment elections in the UK on Thursday, whose fallout is still being felt, and today we have the French deciding on a President. It will be interesting to see if the French will actually vote as they have polled and go for the reformer in the form of Sarkozy. There is always that worry that the left will marshall their forces and make sure France stays in the quagmire it currently finds itself in. Let’s hope that Mme’ Royal’s disgraceful threats of riots will not put people off.

You looking for coverage on France’s wobble on the abyss? No better site to visit that they veritable clever clots at No Pasaran’.

Update: News on the staid reaction by the left to the defeat can be found on the above site and LGF.

Just dont take my word for it. There are plenty of testimonials on the site like Jim L who has the following to say about the product.

“I run my own business and it’s important to start my mornings off quickly. I’ve been a big time coffee drinker during the week to help get me started. Now I start every morning with a protein shake with both the ProEnergy whey protein and Greenergy and honestly, I don’t want coffee in the morning anymore.”

One of the hardest things for us work at home types is getting moving in the morning trying to get your brain in gear to get things done and get on with the more fun things in life. This type of product is great for those of us who dont like coffee or are wary of too much caffeine.

F. E, Davis is even more profound in his recommendation for the product. He says enthusiastically.

“I am astounded by the increase in energy, mental clarity, focus, improvement in attitude and outlook on life that has occurred in only 3 1/2 days! ”

So there you have it. An all natural product that gives you the energy you need without the chemicals and nasties you dont. So why dont you head over to Energy First and take a look. See if this is the product for you. Get Greenergy you know its a good thing to do.

This edition of BOMS is dedicated to my Aunt Edith who died at the ripe ole’ age of 101 a week ago Tuesday. To say she was working as a teacher before the Great Depression puts it all in perspective.

Paintball stuff

May 06th, 2007 | Category: Technology

When I was coming up with my “alternative” activity to a stag night I considered taking a whole bunch of the lads out for a day of paintballing. There were a few reasons why this was not a good idea. There were a couple of the guys who are in the military and I think my betrothed would be rather ticked if I was covered in whelts on my wedding night. I have done paintballing a couple of times and it was rather fun. I would love to do a bit more of it. It is always a good thing to have the right equipment so a good source of quality paintball guns is key if you are anything more than just a casual user. I recently discovered that there is a good place near Enfield where I will be living post-wedding with my wife. I might see if I can muster a group to go out sometime in the early autumn.

In the end I decided it would be better if my guests were to shoot at other inanimate objects, include an olive oil tin or two, rather than each other (and me). So we are heading out to a Maine gun range for the afternoon where will be handling some fine vintage historical weaponry.

Paintballing is in my future, I can assure you, and I can’t wait to head out with a few of the lads. Its good exercise and a great way of getting rid of testosterone and frustration.

Automotive Schedenfreude

May 06th, 2007 | Category: Amusements

Driving by a broken down Prius in your Mercedes ML. The Prius being off at the side of the road at a jaunty angle looking very much worse for wear. It shouldn’t make you feel good but it does. Almost as much fun as seeing one of those hippie mobiles stuck in snow on the road and the “evil” four wheel drives pass with no problem.
