Winter dogs
As I sit here at my computer writing I look to my slight right and see a rather asleep dog in the form of my dear Vera. She has done a nice 3.5 mile walk this morning so deserves her rest. She is probably resting up so she can be in top form to mooch of all of us at lunch. Fortunately Vera has nice long fur so she does not need one of the many dog raincoats that you can get. Her first winter after emigrating from Kent to Maine we though she might need one. The other dog in the family is wee Beatie over in the UK. This dog goes through chew toys like you would not believe. Our last purchase lasted a few days at most before being totally destroyed. It would be nice to be able to find a toy that actually lasts when a terrier is involved. Oh and there is a ratio between the cuteness of the top and how long it lasts.
Vera, 12, is long since past toys, not really ever interested in the first place to be honest.
