Blog email
Ok this is rather cool concept it has to be said. Instead of relying on your readers to have a rss feeder that works with your feed or making sure your feed is always working no matter mucking about with your blog you can do something a bit more pro-active. What you can do is send out a blog email to your readers to inform them of whatever you are up that they might be interested in. Now those of us that read lots of blogs sometimes welcome the odd email from our favourite sources when they got something that is of great interest to me.
Many of the bloggers and general readers that frequent this blog are fairly busy people with complicated lives that do not lend themselves to checking every blog every day or even looking at the rss reader all the time. There are some times when I want to tell my readers about something I am rather proud of that has been written by me or one of my contributors something like a blog email that my readers would sign up to themselves would be so useful. It is tricky to get the right amount of emails with the right level of subject out at the right time.
