Climate Change beliefs decided

February 02nd, 2007 | Category: Envirofascism, Religion

Council of Nicea. Climate Change has decided the creed for the global warming industry. And with Constantine and his decisions about what is heresy or not, the CC-types have decided that debate is no longer necessary and that anyone who disagrees with them should be ignored and considered “fringe”.

Of course, considering their treatment of people like Bjorn Lomborg you could argue the treatment of heretics will be far more harsh. Not that this bothers me, of course, I am used to being a bit heretical on most things. What does worry me is the seeming anti-free speech tone coming from these scientists in the press.

This sort of event is a clear demonstration that there are those that wish to make enviromentalism the new secular religion.

Olympia Snowe, the Vicar (Chuch of the Envirofascist) sermon on what to believe.

Update: If you are puzzled my tenacity of the deranged Climate Change types the this piece by JR Dunn might help. Nicholas Chartford has a piece on the coming inquisition. And, of course, there is Junk Science. Even the Canadians are getting into the act of rubbishing the CC decrees. Oh and the Czech President has laid into Gore something cronic.

Bad tie day?

February 02nd, 2007 | Category: Politics

Belosi who is a high end tie-maker is having a campaign called the Belisi Take off that Tie Campaign where they aim to help rid people of their god-awful ties and get them in something a bit more pleasant. Interestingly enough is that Belisi have a MySpace page of which I am a friend. I am sure most people have ugly ties in their collection, mostly gotten as gifts but sometimes bought in the shop in bright light when it should have been taken out and viewed. My badness with a tie is below…I would warn sensitive viewers of a nervous disposition. This post is sponsored btw.

Methuselah’s Daughter reviewed.

February 02nd, 2007 | Category: Blog gos, Writing

Methuselah’s Daughter was very much a labour of love for J.A. Eddy and Dean Esmay, born out of a site written by Eddy over many years. Like many fiction writers, Eddy nursed the main character in the back of his brain long before she was actually recorded, in virtual or other form. Now its hard to say much about this novel without giving too much away.

Event site with added help

February 02nd, 2007 | Category: Technology

I have been asked to rate “Connie” the spokeswoman/user guide on a certain event planning site. The thing that struck me was that it reminded me of that bloody annoying paperclip that pops up when you try to use Word for the first time. I don’t exactly think its going to impress that many people.

I also have worries about how much bandwidth it takes up and will it delay loading the site for people not on uber-broadband. Still it has to be said that the technology behind it might be of use on sites that cater to visually impaired. It is possible that the 11% who like this feature are in that catagory.
