Libby loses to Levy

In my continuing quest to discover if there is any coverage of the Scooter Libby trial I am trying to determine why there is not real coverage of the event. Now it can be said that it will really probably not get any coverage unless there is a negative outcome against Libby. This would, of course, give the anti-American/Bush press in the UK a good chance at a good bash.

There is however something that is becoming far more important. The cash-for-peerages (places in the House of Lords) has become scandal has become rather more terse of late with some expert observers claiming there is a fair chance it will rival Watergate. The arrest of Blair’s money man and Middle East envoy Lord Levy on charges now of obstruction of justice yesterday is making the whole thing far more serious. The investigation is getting closer and closer to Blair so much so that Downing Street is starting to sweat.

Watch this space.

Just wanted to let you in the UK know the lack of interest has nothing to do with your proximity to Washington. I am right here in the good old US of A and rarely hear anything on it; if it weren’t for my satellite feed of Air America radio show I probably wouldn’t know it was going on at all, as there is only a one or two liner a week concerning it, and is REALLY easy to miss. I swear, some of us DO care….
