Smelly NYC

January 08th, 2007 | Category: Envirofascism

Manhattan is said to stink right now but Major Bloomberg is saying there is no cause for concern. Does anyone know if Al Sharpton or Al Gore was in town when it happened? Those two can stink up the place with their continous mouth effluent that is for sure. Speaking of Al Bore, Sky News has turned their entire station over to climate change paranoia this week. I have yet to see a mention of Bjorn Lomborg or any other sceptic of the entire thing.

Ruth Kelly in a spot

January 08th, 2007 | Category: UK Politics

There are some who rather upset with her for having the cheek to send her child to a private school after being education minister in a Labour Government. I think most of us would agree that what is best for her child is what should be done for him. However considering the record of the Labour government when it comes to education it does smack a bit of hypocrisy. Many of her freinds and colleagues are trying to dampen the row by explaining that its a “personal matter”. One could point out to them that the education of every child is a “personal matter” for every parent (or least that is what is hoped). Lets us hope that once child Kelly goes through a decent education they might emerge with a healthy cynicism of socialist ideas for schooling.

Free adverts of blogs or myspace for 5 years on the great wall of blogs

January 08th, 2007 | Category: Stuff

The latest craze? A new website gets bloggers and myspace bloggers advertising free of charge on what is becoming quickly known as the great wall of blogs. Its an interesting concept with a cool mouse-over feature that lets you see each advert in all its glory for those with small monitors. I suspect when the site does catch on it will be with lots of gusto. Get in while you can!

Deal or No Deal

January 08th, 2007 | Category: Amusements

Someone has finally won the 250k of Deal or No Deal which is probably good for the show’s producers as it was looking a bit lame for a while. I bet they were desperate for someone to get it as to quell accusations that it was a load of bollocks. What most amused me of course was the woman who claimed she was glad Laura won it…what a completely bloody liar. Of course, Channel 4 are doing a bit of a sly move by claiming that you can register to do the daily win online….only for you to find the site has crashed.

Iain touch for West Ham

January 08th, 2007 | Category: Blog gos, Sports

The Hammers have been having a few problems of late and Iain Dale is a bit of a fan. He was shocked to see there was no blog dedicated to Iain’s and ‘arry from Iron Maiden’s favourite side. So Iain, arch blogger, has gone and started a Hammer’s blog. Head over and have a gander. While the team might not be getting many goals at least let the blog get some hits. And after all, West Ham at least have a better record than England’s Cricket team of late.

Things going on…

January 08th, 2007 | Category: Blog gos

Tim is back with his Britblog round-up, a bit thin as a result of the time of year but it will pick up I am sure. Them dogs are barking at their round-up and, of course, there CoTV. The PPP lot have got into the act as well with their own carnival of the posties.

There is Storyblogging carnival up for your reading pleasure.

As I was late getting the last COTV link up this time I am a bit more proactive…here is this week’s edition.
