Recycling= Bullshit…part?

January 05th, 2007 | Category: Envirofascism, Political Correctness

It seems all that recycling is doing wonder for the population of the UK…the rat population. It seems all those lovely piles of recycling are proving great havens for the budding rat population. Of course, rather than blaming the daft policy of getting every to put all their stuff out on the street for the recycling van they are annoyed at householders for not doing it properly. Recycling for the most part is a complete waste of resources and now we are learning it is advantageous to rats…does the black plague mean nothing to these people?

A piece in the Daily Telegraph refers to them as eco-snobs which is probably more polite than envirofascists but just about as apt.

Issac gets asylum

January 05th, 2007 | Category: Political Correctness, Politics

Issac Schrodinger has been allowed to emigrate to Canada. Its a good result that did not always seem to be assured. Well done to him and his legal team. Its good to see Canada letting in people who really need asylum rather some of the ne’ar do wells that have been let in at times in their recent history.

DirectTV

January 05th, 2007 | Category: Technology

The other major satillite network in the US is DirectTV. There have been several times I have looked at their services with my father with a view to switching from their competitor. Alas, they never quite match up to Dish for a variety of reasons. That said its good that Americans have two strong contenders for their satillite dish needs unlike the UK where all there is Sky. If you are looking for a satillite I urge you to check out Direct TV Deals and make the right choice for you. This post is for PPP.

Squirrels

January 05th, 2007 | Category: Amusements, Religion

In case you haven’t read this amusing piece. Recieved by email.

There were Five country churches in a small TEXAS town: The Presbyterian Church, the Baptist Church, the Methodist Church, the Catholic Church and the Jewish Synagogue. Each church was overrun with pesky squirrels.

One day, the Presbyterian Church called a meeting to decide what to do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they
determined that the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn’t interfere with God’s divine will.

In the Baptist Church the squirrels had taken up habitation in the baptistery. The deacons met and decided to put a cover on the baptistery and drown the squirrels in it. The squirrels escaped somehow and there were twice as many there the next week.

The Methodist Church got together and decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God’s creation. So, they humanely trapped the Squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Three days later, the squirrels were back.

But – The Catholic Church came up with the best and most effective solution. They baptised the squirrels and registered them as members
of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter

Not much was heard about the Jewish Synagogue, but they took one squirrel and had a short service with him called circumcision and they haven’t seen a squirrel on the property since.
