Leftie tries to be satirical

December 11th, 2006 | Category: UK Politics

And instead comes across as a racist wanker whose satire ain’t even funny. My Wita colleague has all the poop on this little episode including a rather pathetic attempt to try to defend it and trash those who criticise it. Head over to the Toque’s place and check out the row.

Dutch politics

December 11th, 2006 | Category: ROPMA, Terrorism

Impressive, the Daily Politics found a Muslim woman, non-covered but believing she is Muslim first then Dutch, in the Holland who basically said that Theo Van Goth deserved it (ok she was a bit more subtle but not much more). Of course their nitwit reporter is going around proclaiming people who have a problem with Muslims murdering people they disagree with “far-right.” Alas the leader he interviewed was forthright but not at all frothing and made his case rather well.

Oh yes Giles said that Pim Fortyn’s murder was “good for Muslims in Holland” because he was set to win the elections.

Show notes…

December 11th, 2006 | Category: Lagwolf & Co Show, Press Appearances

First of all, I would like to remind all of you that I am doing the last two hours of programming this evening on 18 Doughty Street. What is nice with the channel is that if you miss the show(s) you can always watch it again with their “watch again” function.

Last night we had a good show over at Skypecast. We chatted about various subjects regarding freedom in the world including chatting about Sen Snowe’s behaviour with Lance Dutson and Kami. A listener raised the important issue of Britons and their self-defence in the wake of the gun-grabbing and other criminal empowering legislation in this country. Funny enough First Post has a piece on how rural Britons are taking steps to defend themselves including purchasing crossbows.

Affiliate Button

December 11th, 2006 | Category: Announcements, Blog gos

As you might have noticed I have added a PPP affiliate program button on the side of this blog. I wanted to make sure that those of you who are bloggers have an easy way to sign up to the PPP. As I have said before I use my blog money to help support the upkeep of this blog and keep it ticking along as well as give me some “pocket money” for the entertainment expenses one has now & then like the box set of the latest season of Family Guy which I watched last Friday night. If you are thinking of becoming a PPP blogger please do it via the button on the left of the blog. I would really appreciate it.

Who’d you want to get the nomination?

December 11th, 2006 | Category: Politics, UK Politics

Interesting additions to the list. Fred Thompson got my vote; if only for this speech about abortion and the Constitution in one episode of Law & Order. It was a bit that would successfully annoy the extremes on both sides.

And there is another political poll out there but this one is for Greatest British Political Hero. Now, of course, I voted for Lady Thatcher in this poll for the Politics Show. Surprisingly for a BBC run thing Thatcher is actually leading this poll. So head over and vote. Not that I would wish to influence you one way or other.

And speaking of Thatcher the IEA has come up with an excellent way to remember Lord Harris who died this year. The ASI blog has the details of the fund set up in his honour.

And speaking of polls, Iain Dale has one on his blog about the best right-of-centre commentator in the UK.

Watcher Wants You!

December 11th, 2006 | Category: Blog gos

There is another place open on the Watcher of Weasels star chamber. If you think you have the stuff to be one of the few that is the WoW then head over there and see if you qualify. Its an honour to be taken as one of their number and it comes with some responsability like having to read all the entries each week. However its a good way to raise the profile of your blog and gives you an opportunity to read some of the best of the blogosphere.

There are some good posts over at the Carnival of the Dogs and of course there is the round-up of the British blogosphere.

PPP blog worth a look

December 11th, 2006 | Category: Blog gos

Much maligned as much as it is well loved by its posties, those guys over at PPP have their own blog, which is a wonderful place to find out about what the nuts there are pondering. You can find daft videos of their employees as well as serious posts on the latest updates, policy changes and tweaks to the system. Its a great place for those who run blogs to find out about what makes PPP and keep track of their machinations. I read it regularily so I know what exactly is going on all the way on the other side of the US.
