So, with pensioners struggling with a 9% inflation in their overall cost of living, Middle Income earners struggling with 5% and the “official” Treasury figure only 2% our Wonders of Westminster want to award themselves a 66% pay rise. Apparently they think that their current 60,000 a year plus a generous average expenses claim of 134,000 a year is insufficient. They want parity with that other lot of freeloading wankers in Whitehall – the top Civil Servants. This coming at a time when pension funds are already being robbed to the tune of 8 billion a year to pay for Labour’s generous handouts to their luvvies and supporters, motorists face another raid on their pockets to the tune of 28 billion a year to pay for the pipe dream of “improved public transport” and all the other stealth taxes Blair and his shower of thieves have introduced to pay for their burgeoning army of worthless bureaucrats and “special advisers” that have boosted the civil service to a figure of over five million employees. All at the taxpaying publics expense.
The State of California has just voted an amendment to the State Constitution which now makes it law that every penny of the fuel tax imposed by the State must be spent on road building, maintenance or repair. The State Treasury cannot purloin these funds to pay for anything else. Perhaps its time we demanded that our Treasury be bound by similar rules! Perhaps it is time our politicians were given a strong reminder that they rule on our behalf and for our benefit, not their own. We are the voters, and we pay the piper, its time we had more say in how they spend our money, the current system is clearly being abused and it is time to call a halt!

This is class humour which educates about IEDs, satirises Irwin’s style and keeps it tongue firmly in cheek. The thing is that its far funnier that most of the Beeb’s recent comedy output like the frankly dire Jam & Jerusalem. Its a bit crude but this bloke deserves his own show for the sheer stuff of doing the video. Found via Andrea.
1 commentTechcrunch on PPP again…
The humourless gits over at Techcrunch are having a go at PayPerPost again this time for their new reality TV show called RockStartUp which is reality documentary about a startup. In a bitchy piece called PayPerPost Chronicles their Amorality, Michael Arrington continues his campaign of abuse about PPP. He goes so far as to say: I cant wait for the episode where Ted (the founder) goes to jail. The bitterness and bitchness coming from this fool is just amazing and the puristile comments are even more pathetic.
The first two episodes of this web documentary are up for all to see and follow the PPP types as they do their best to spread the word about PPP. Now the company is not without controversy as you can see above; Techcrunch of course almost has a pathological hatred of PPP. Amusingly enough Techcrunch and making money from blogging/the web came up on the Lagwolf & Crap Show with Kami Harbinger.
So yet another web based documentary about a start-up is not exactly anything new. However the people at PPP are so enthusiastic about their project that it is almost catching. There will probably be quite a few watching the series just itching to watch the team fail. So what, who cares, if not everyone is a fan. The PPP doesn’t give a toss and our doing their own thing. That is to be admired whether or not you like what they are doing.

I have heard of only one piece objecting to my music essay for the ERC, however the title is quite accurate. So what is the guy’s big gripe? Well that I am Yank. Of course, he has no idea that I have lived in the UK off & on since I was four. But that is generally the nature of those who get upset about criticism of the BBC. Oh yes and he has not even bothered to read the rest of the piece either.
The Times Online has a decent piece on it which is nice, as well as a mention in Metro and this cool paragraph in the Business. It shows up on Tailrank, Political Opinions, Witanagamont and the music e-mail newsletter CMU
