Andrew elsewhere…
Over at TCS is a little piece on Hollywood’s lurching away from the far left. Its called Star & Stripes and its already attracted Gibson admirers.

There is a good site to let you know about what are the best cell phones. I am currently using a Nokia 6630 with a TMobile pay-as-you-go chip in it while I am home. Its far cheaper than using my UK phone there. The site has a guide to prepaid cell phones for anyone like me who is not necessarily constantly using their phone in the US. Well I got my chip in the Maine Mall in Portland I was interested to know that you can chose what your home “area” is on the network. I chose Brunswick, Maine as Freeport where the wedding goes is nearby and so is Harpswell. I am quite pleased that we now have a local phone in Maine; as it will lower our costs when planning the wedding. The initial fee may have been $60 (with 260 minutes) but its well worth it.

London’s own Arnie, Sargeant Dr Lee Rotherham, has chosen a GoD track for his campaign theme song. Can’t wait to hear it blaring out of the speakers on the campaign bus.
1 comment18 Doughty Street
The online TV channel has gone live as of last night with shows from 8pm to midnight. I have yet to see the show because I was out at the ASI last night. However they do have their show archived for your viewing pleasure. I plan to tune in this evening. 18 Doughty Street will be on tonight and every week night. It will be interesting to see how the whole project gets on. I wish them well. The TV channel now has a spiffy site to go with their broadcasts.
Oh and The Knives are Out is available for fans of Guido.

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
Disconnect the wires leading from the battery or the trigger/timer to the detonator. The battery will look like a battery; the timer is the part that’s counting down. Be careful: This is the trickiest part of the bomb and where it’s most likely to be booby-trapped (the whole red wire/blue wire thing comes into play here). And for God’s sake, don’t fuss over the process in order to make the timer stop at something clever like 0-0-7.
I thought it would be worth linking to this story at Wired, just in case you happen to run across one. Sure, it might have been built by North Korea, in which case you’re pretty safe, but the recyclers won’t take it unless you break it up and sort it.
