Modded Mustangs
The guys over at 5th gear love the new Mustang GT500 but think it impractical for the UK. Wonder what that lot would think of Fosse’s take on the new version of the Mustang the Stallion. There is the Saleen with its neat roof and the raw power of the Steeda.
A car for those who think the new Shelby Mustang is just a wee bit too common. Then if you want a really nutty Mustang you have to go Germany shown in a naff colour naturally. Yep I still got a soft spot for a Mustang almost 20 years after I sold my ‘67. I would love to have one, but not in London. Well if you have a thing for a Mustangs of any ilk then the forums under the link might be just the thing for you.

For giving that terrorist loving wanker Galloway yet another excuse to go lie on Television. He just said on Sky News that he “never praised Saddam and was an opponent of him..” He also said Iraq is worse now without Saddam. Of course he never mentioned the Kurds who are no longer getting killed, presumably because his Syrian mates would not like it. His newest claim is that the Americans are stealing billions of Iraq’s wealth. Its a case of Galloway opens his mouth and the lies flow.
Let’s hope the Tories don’t follow Plaid Cymru, RESPECT and the LDs in voting for this daft call for an inquiry.

The above was made with the new flash recording system called RAZZ which features the ability to upload music and sound affects as well as letting you record with your microphone. You can use your webcam to put yer face on the recording as well. Try the RAZZ Mixer Yourself, its free and easy to use. You will have to register to save you recording but that is pretty simple and quick. You can use the mixer, recorder as well as using their sample & sound affects to make things more interesting. A new toy for those of us with blogs.

There will be an audio version of both Lair’s and my tale available soon. Comments are off for this postLasik advice
There is a specific type of Laser eye surgery available in the US called Lasik and there is now a site to give people considering it as much information as possible about the treatment called. USAEyes.org The site also helps those wishing to find someone to do the surgery to find a local doctor who is suitable. Its a rather impressive site with lots of information on the ins, outs and risks involved in the surgery. If you are considering the surgery you would be unwise not to have gander. When it comes to your eyes, as I should know with my decaying cornea, you need to be extra careful and aware.

I’m never going to cushion-dive for loose change again:
Perfectly camouflaged and lightning fast, Ghastly Ghoul Blasts thru the bottom of chair to stand 63 tall. Theyll never see it coming and this ones guaranteed to drop them. Includes, chair, ghoul, mech & pneumatic pkg.
Probably a bit late to pick it up for your Halloween party; at $2700 (and this is one of the cheaper effects—others are over 10K with accessories) it’s more intended for the commercial market, anyway.
More expensive creepiness here.

Dinner on the hoof
While in Maine heading off to East Boothbay we saw someone brining home dinner in the form of a huge moose.

I rather love moose meat; its far better than deer meat in my opinion. Its pretty impressive the luck of the bloke driving this moose home. First of he won the sweepstakes to get a moose permit and secondly he actually bagged one.

After much bashing from all corners of the internet and blogosphere PayPerPost has come up with this rather neat tool: a blog Disclosure Policy Generator. This will aid bloggers in telling their readers their disclosure policy in simple and easily understood terms. I encourage my readers who have blogs or plan to have one to use this service. Our disclosure policy can be found here.

This is the funnier of the jokes that were sent out by someone at the Maine Tourism office.
FORWARDED IN THE NAME OF PATRIOTISM
We all know that it is a sin for an Islamic male to see any woman other than his wife naked, and that he must commit suicide if he does.So next Sunday at 4:00p, Eastern time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists.
Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this antiterrorist effort. All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not terrorists, and to demonstrate that they think its okay to see nude women other than their wife and to show support for all American women.
And since the Koran also does not approve of alcohol,
a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your antiterrorist sentiment. The American Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and
applauds your participation
in this anti-terrorist activity.
God bless America and
GOD BLESS AMERICAN WOMEN!IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY TO PASS THIS ON.
From the now-lawsuit free Maine Web Report via AMG.
As far as the joke, I would not be surprised if John “Perving Your Melons” Prescott tries to make this official government policy.
Comments are off for this postExcuses for raising taxes…part XIX
If one is watching the news right now one gets to see politicians pontificating about flying using the Stern Report as an excuse. It seems many of them are rather put out by the fact the peasants are now clogging up airplanes when MPs was to fly abroad. So they are using the excuse of “climate change” to hike taxes on flights. Alas, the party you would expect to oppose this sort of revenue grab is all for it. Just as they are basically for the fascistic behaviour of Richmond Council. Cameron has found yet another way to convince British voters they have no real choice at the next election.
And some of these nitwits are wheeling out the ole line that “climate change is the biggest threat to life we face” when we all know that Muzzie terrorists are a far bigger threat to life and limb in the UK.
Of course, it will only get worse as Blair has appointed Gore as his advisor.
Of course, the Telegraph see through this rubbish as well.
Tim Worstall has written a good takedown over at the ASI while Tim Blair analyses Monbiot’s pronouncements.
After reading all that tripe you might want to check out a movie that aims to exposure the eviroweenie movement for what it truly is. Mine Your Own Business indeed…especially if your name is Gore. I have included it below for your pleasure. The IEA is showing the film this Wednesday 1 Nov.

Interested in stock trading, more specifically day trading then there is a great site for you. There is all kinds of info on the site including information on education and profitability of day trading. There is even a demo that you can watch for free at the site. DaytradeTeam is the perfect way to get yourself into the stock trading game, which lets face it can be rather daunting to those not in the known. I am looking to trade stocks sometime in the future; as it seems to be a family tradition. Useful insight and advice is never a bad thing now is it?

Calacanis a poster-boy for making money?
Well that is what some people think over at Techmeme especially for Tris Hussey after Calacanis spoke at the Blog Business Summit. All the debates about the blog & money thing is rather interesting.
Comments are off for this postWas this wise?
It was rather interesting to see the Evening Standard, in their desperate attempt to keep readers, handing out goodie bags to all those who bought the paper. What was most amusing considering their pro-Muslim stance was the fact they were giving out little pigs.

Wonder they got any complaints from “offended” Muslims.

Iain Dale is reporting that Al “Sore Loser” Gore has been appointed an advisor to the Labour Government on Luddite Affairs Climate Change issues. So British taxpayers will be funding the biggest cause of hot air going. Sad thing is that Dave “Hug a Hoodie” Cameron will probably think its a good idea.
Free bingo?
There is an interesting Free Bingo site called oddly enough Free Bingo. One thing that strikes you at the site is the annoying voice over of a bingo caller that I could not find a way of shutting it off. That did not impress as it was louder than my iTunes. However the site loads nicely and is quite clean. It offers various forms of free bingo for those of you that like the game. It a good place to practice before you go down the bingo parlour with yer mates. And there is nowt wrong with that.

Comments are off for this postKen not a racist?
Nigel Farendale has written a decent piece about Ken’s latest idiocy but like Ken in his speech on Muslims last week. Then he does what he accuses Ken of doing by uttering this bit of tosh:
I know Ken Livingstone isn’t racist; far from it
How do you come to that conclusion mate? Ok so his Jew-hatred is not racism because Judaism is religion and not a race. I cannot understand how MSM commentators routinely criticises the vile things Ken says but have to cover themselves by saying they don’t think he is a racist. It just makes them look either cowardly or just plain foolish.

Tired of paying exorbidant prices for your Eclipse based plug-ins? Well then you need to head over and check out MyEclipse for all your Eclipse Plugin needs. Instead of costing up to $4k this solution only costs just under $30 a year. This concept challenges the concept that this sort of software solution has to be expensive.
Comments are off for this post2008 Presidential Candidates Swing Through New Hampshire
With nine days left before elections, a number of 2008 presidential hopefuls have been making the rounds in New Hampshire, stumping for local candidates.
Senators John Kerry, Evan Bayh, John McCain, Governors George Pataki and Mitt Romney, amongst others, have made day trips to the Granite State in an attempt to pump up support for their respective party’s candidates.
While the presidential candidates haven’t been stealing the limelight from their fellow Democrats or Republicans, keeping their appearances somewhat low key, that is expected to change after the November 7th elections.
As happens quite often after mid-term elections, the presidential hopefuls will start visiting the state more frequently and in ever increasing numbers in the run up to the New Hampshire Primary in early 2008. Those visits will ramp up considerably after New Year’s 2007. They are all seeking the same thing name recognition. Without that, their chances in 2008 are dismal. This means getting out amongst the public, shaking hands, kissing babies, giving speeches at public functions, and working the call-in talk shows, just to name a few. No amount of TV or newspaper advertising will work in place of the retail, face-to-face politicking that is required here in New Hampshire.
It is this type of campaigning that gives those with little initial name recognition or limited campaign funds a chance to do well in the primary. Frankly, I prefer to see this kind of campaigning rather than the big buck 15-second sound bites and full page newspaper ads. They don’t let you look a candidate in the eye and take their measure. It’s also difficult for candidates to go negative against their opponents when they’re going one on one with the electorate because that is one of the quickest ways to lose support if they don’t have the distance, the isolation that attack ads provide a candidate. They have to stick with telling the electorate what they want to do, what they want to accomplish. Frankly, that is far more important than telling us nothing more than I’m not [place name of opponent here]!
If only all politicking could be that personal.

Our UK based readers will be interested to know about a new money comparision site called Mungo Money where you can compare UK credit cards and find out which one is best for you. The site also provides information on the best in UK personal loans for those based here. Lord knows I have complained about British banks and I well know that when it comes that lot of vipers outfits you need to be very careful what you get yourself into.

Well you know I am a bit of car enthusiast from some of my posts on this blog. I am not just a petrolhead and am rather interested in diesel performance as well. I am seriously thinking about a diesel car the next one I get. And diesels are no longer the pokey things like the Peugeot 504 diesel I drove in my mid-teens. You can now get diesel car/truck engines to pump out up to 700+ hp. There are chipping systems, turbos and other solutions to tweak yer diesel to get the most out of it. Of course I am partial to Dodge diesels.
