No more sniffles and red eyes in the summer?
A cure for allergies such as asthma and hay fever – I suffer from the latter – could be with us in a few years. Excellent. The summer months are sometimes spoiled for me by the impact that hay fever has. I know at least two people who are very seriously affected by asthma. Bring on the cure!

Well the rugrats are going to get out of your hair for another school year. Why not send the little nippers out this year with a Spider-Man Lunchbox, Incredible Hulk doll or any of the other possible superhero pieces of kit. Recently I met the son of a friend of my betrothed who was obsessed with superheros and all the assorted stuff. He really enjoyed playing with them as we chatted. The most amusing thing is that he declared he wanted to be a policeman because “after all they are the real superheros.” Would that all young children thought the same way.

Its climate change’s fault!
What am I talking about you might ask? No not hurricanes; climate change
The word from New Hampshire
We are proud to announce that DCE from Weekendpundit will be providing us with coverage of the New Hampshire primaries and all its excitement. Might be good for Tories in the UK to learn how a good primary really works.

Steve H. at “target=”new”>Hog On Ice is convinced that all TV weathermen are gay. I don’t know if that’s a fair categorization or not; however, this guy tends to lend credence to his theory.

moral equivalence again…
In a good letter expressing concern over the rise of jew-hated in the UK Stephen Smith ruins things with this bit of idiocy.
...his report follows a YouGov survey in which one in six Londoners admitted they move seats on buses to avoid a passenger they think is Muslim. Ignorance, prejudice and fear of difference poison relations between communities, creating mistrust and hostility, exactly the sort of conditions that can eventually lead to genocide.
So let me get this straight. If you dont want to sit next to a muzzie who quite possibly wants to blow you to pieces you might be helping to create genocide? How bloody rediculous can you get. The people blowing people on tubes, buses and planes are Muslims so not sitting next to one is called protecting one’s life. Its ignorant not to know the dangers that one faces when one travels on public transport. One of those dangers is Muslim terrorism.
The prejudice against Jews that led to shoah was not based on the fact that Jews were killing Germans or Austrians it was fuelled by centuries of Jew-hatred as taught by the Catholic Church and continued by many Christian sects.
Comparing the current feeling about Muslims in the UK and that of Jews in Europe in the 1930s is ludicrous in extremis. Furthermore its an insult to every Jew who died during that horrid time and since then because of their faith.
If this is type of thinking that goes through the mind of this bloke he should resign from his post on the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.
And yes I refuse to sit on any bus or tube next to a Muslim. It just ain’t worth the risk. Furthermore it is the responsability of everyone to protect themselves and their families from harm.
Its not prejudice its self-preservation pure and simple.
