Tom Watson MP resigns…
Tom Watson, beloved by some bloggers for his early adoption of the weblog, has resigned as a Jr Defence Minister after falling out with Blair over the PR’s departure.
Update: It seems the rats are jumping off the plank to avoid the singing ship. Now its up to 8 MPs bailing on Blair.
Comments are off for this postDodging Reality on its way…
In the last few weeks we all seem to have been a bit too busy to get out an episode of Dodging Reality. We do apologise for the lack of appearances on your iTunes. However we have been hard at work learning a new Garageband that came with my Mac laptop and getting together a few pieces of stuff that irks us. Next episode wil have an interview with Dr Lee Rotherham and a piece from Laurence.
Comments are off for this postCD labelling
I sit here writing this looking at a box of GoD CDs with our logo nicely stamped over them which I am going to write “promo” on before sending them to various outlets that might appreciate them. (Or at least in theory.) If you don’t have access to a fancy printer that lets you print on CDs then you might want to check out this linked site for your CD / DVD Labels needs. I have used the print out and stick on labelling method and it does work rather well. What is nice that they are making these kits easy enough for child to use them. So you would hope that a rocker such as myself and my bandmates could handle the task…well that is in theory at least. Clearly labelled CD/DVDs are crucial for most people as we now have so many of them about. Its always a pain to lose some important because you forgot to label the damn thing. On and if you haven’t burned a CD/DVD yet…trust me once you do one, you will find yourself doing it all the time.

Conservative Future…
Guido reports that a young lady of 22 is disillusioned with Conservative Future. She seems to have realised, as with many other CF aged working Tories, that CF is actually a replacement for Conservative Students and does not serve working young Tories like the old Young Conservatives and Conservative Graduates. Despite what people were told at the inception of CF it does not serve the interests of those who are not in education and Conservative. I know quite a few young Tories who would not be caught dead at a CF event. On the other hand they are not exactly welcomed in some constituencies either. Cameron’s Tories need to solve the problem of how to keep the post-university pre-40 something Tories.
Comments are off for this postDome deal…
The Telegraph asks if the dome deal between Prescott the government and Anschutz is really a fair deal for all or is it a fix to get rid of one of the white elephants of Blair’s time in Number 10. After this spring/summer’s revelations about Prescott and his antics at the Anschutz ranch very few people will probably believe it is not a done deal. Of course you could check out Greenwich Watch and read about all the machinations in that area of London.
New viral entertainment site…
Wuzup! Viral Entertainment is a new site which features Viral videos, photos, celeb news, hotlinks and games for your daily entertainment and bemusement. Those of you too lazy to hit the site every day can even use their handy RSS feed for your web browser. Now I normally depend on Gnotalex to find me the wierd and wonderful out there on the web; but I will pop along to Wuzup! every so often to see what other nutty stuff the world of entertainment is doing with their time. Lets face it these days a bit of amusement on the web is a much needed diversion for all that is out there.
Likable Wilma
Wilma, Wilma, in thy blouse,
Red-haired prehistoric spouse,
What immortal animator
Was thy slender waists creator? When the Rubble clan moved in,
Was Betty jealous of thy skin,
Thy noble nose, thy dimpled knee?
Did he who penciled Fred draw thee?Wilma, Wilma, burning bright, ye
Cartoon goddess Aphrodite,
Was it Hanna or Barbera
Made thee hot as some caldera?
Some days when I can’t think of a thing to write about, I hit del.icio.us’s randomizing bookmarklet, which returns, as you’d guess, a random link. Usually it’s something like an article on JavaScript Persistent Object Notation which doesn’t exactly set my shorts on fire (though it might light yours up, so help yourself to the link).
Sometimes, though, it lands on a small gem, like this free e-book by Francis Heaney, a professional puzzle-maker and humorist.
What he did was anagrammize various authors’ names and then write a poem or scene from a play in their style based on the anagram. Neat idea, but you’ve got to have the writing chops to carry it off.
Thus the above, the title of which was derived from the letters in “William Blake” and which parodies his most famous poem.

Not exactly what you would expect from this blog; but my friends of all ages seem to be either about to have a baby or have recently had one in the last few years. I am even bumping into old acquaitances keen to tell me about the newest addition to their family. Well I have found a site that does inexpensive classy birth announcements from as little as $1.19 a card. You can also order photo birth announcements for those of you keen to show off your child. I would like to end this piece with my sincerest best wishes for all my friends who are new parents or about to be.
