Chatrooms…
After all the paranoia about chatrooms a few years ago the MSM and parents seem to have calmed down a bit about their dangers. I have never thought a chatroom was any more dangerous than hanging out at the mall or going to the movies. The people everyone is paranoid about, ie predators, will always find away and its far better to make children vigilant that have them naive and protected. Those of us of a certain age frequented many a hacker chatroom whether we were hackers or just lurkers. It was fascinating and a bit naughty but you were still in the safety of your own home while using pseudonym. Not much has changed. Most children and young adults spend their time on the internet using some nickname or other. There is enough annonymity if you use your brain.
