The Green Party and the Church of England will be pleased by the latest developments in making air travel as much of pain as possible thanks to the Religion of Peace. After all both the Greens and CoE hate air travel, thinking it a great evil, so they will be glad to see that the ban on hand-baggage will make things very difficult for cheap airlines who only allow a small checked case. Anything that hurts the cheap travel industry will be welcomed by enviroweenies and the Bishop of London.

Bands have tshirts; most are pretty tame or pretty lame. What ever band wants to have is a t-shirt that people want to wear that don’t necessarily know the band. I have been trying to think of a clever saying for my band’s t-shirts for quite a long time. The latest idea is Growing Old Disgracefully beats dying young & innocent. Another possible one is Why be young and naive when you can grow old disgracefully? Any ideas along this line would be most welcome so give us a suggestion in comments.

Radical animists at it again…
This time the members of the Religion of Peace were trying to blow up 20 or so airplanes over the US and the UK. Needless to say that has rather disrupted airports here in the UK. They have banned hand luggage. For those of us who pride themselves on only having hand luggage will be just a bit put out.
Brunt said the threat was thought to be imminent and those arrested were mainly young, British-born Asian men.
Considering the recent poll on Muslim sentiment in the UK, published in the Daily Mail yesterday, this is not terribly surprising.

Oh, this is cruel. SingShot is a karaoke site that lets you put your vocal chops out there for all to vote on, and laugh at.
Witness:
Sert, or “Ché” as his friends call him, is a Turkish gentleman. This is not a hard-and-fast rule, but I find that if someone demonstrates no singing talent by the age of 26, it’s unlikely to be lurking just below the surface.
I’ve chosen to showcase Sert’s rendition of The Beatles’ “Yesterday” because:
a) It’s an easily recognizable tune, the most-recorded in history, and;
b) because it’s mercifully brief.
The site is still in beta and kind of wonky. If the song stops, wave your cursor over the flash player. For the love of God, don’t click on it, because then you’ll have to listen to it from the start again.
It’s a pay site, but offers a two-week free trial. (You won’t be asked for a credit card until the two weeks are up.) I couldn’t find out how much it costs, because when I clicked through to find out, I was rewarded with this message:
Your session has been expired!
Please re-login, to access our services
Kind of strange, considering I hadn’t logged in at all. Like I said, the site still seems to have some bugs.
Note, too, that you don’t have to subscribe to it to listen to recordings, vote on them or comment — it’s only if you want to record your Whitney Houston impressions for posterity and the chance to become the laughingstock of the Internet. Maybe that’s why the poor woman found solace in drugs.

A Channel 4 poll has found that 23% of Muslims polled believe that the 7/7 attacks were justified. A whole 1/3 would prefer to live under Sharia than British law. A third also dream that Britain will eventually become as Islamic state. One does wonder why these people remain in the UK if they hate it and all it stands for so much. But suggesting that is Islamophobic right? How come no accuses them off Britophobia?
