Chavez, Ken & their luvvies

Help ditch the Jew-hating, terrorist-loving, Islamist enabling Ken from the Mayor’s office.

Harry’s Place has more on the Ken-Chavez lovefest.

A question to readers: who is more dangerous? George Galloway or Ken Livingston?

Oh yes and you know Ken’s democratic cred? How come he won’t let Venezuelen dissidents meet with the Tories at the London pickle?

We’re used to Ken Livingstone welcoming questionable guests to London’s City Hall, so it came as no surprise yesterday to see him throw open his doors to the Venezuelan leader, Hugo Chvez.

Infuriated by the red-carpet treatment afforded to Chvez, Tories on the Greater London Assembly had organised a meeting with Venezuelan democracy campaigners, but the mayor did his best to scupper it.

“Ken decided to ban visitors from City Hall for the day,” says my source. “It was only after a heated debate with security staff that they were given access to a disused office along the road.”

Bob Neill, Tory assembly leader, is unimpressed: “Ken Livingstone said that part of the purpose of the visit was to learn from the ‘Venezuelan experience’ – particularly in the field of ‘democratic participation’. He has already learnt a few tricks.”

Ken’s spokesman assures me: “For security reasons, City Hall would have had to be closed to the public.”

Must be the same “security reasons” that prevented him from meeting Jewish leaders after his many anti-semitic gaffes.

Scott Burgess has done an interesting piece on the Chavez-luvvie fest.

Ken is now attacking Venezuelan bloggers for criticising his bud Chavez.

I am not sure that “dangerous” is the right term. Two brainless motormouths like these could hardly be dangerous. It is the quiet ones I would watch out for.
