Looks like a beach bum, bowls like a genius
Shane Warne, the Australian cricketer who has made the art of legspin bowling positively cool (who would have figured that?) is, despite the fierce cricket rivalry between England and the Aussies, something of a cult celebrity in Britain. Currently playing for the county side Hampshire, Warne has been involved in youth projects to encourage children to take up spin bowling.
However hard one tries because of his off-field antics, I cannot help but like Warne. Here’s hoping that the man plies his magic for a few more years yet.
