It’s tempting to gloat …….
As you may have gathered Guido has been away – drinking in the beauty of the Highlands and Islands to be precise and revelling in having no contact with the political scene. So imagine his surprise when he got home at the weekend to discover that the arch buffoon that Blair has the effrontery to call his Deputy Prime Minister, has been removed from his post as a Head of Department. Two Jags, No-Job! Oh yes, and that other Bully-boy, the unedifying Mr Clarke is also jobless – if only, both still get their full pay and perks for disgracing the name of parliament and Two Jags even gets to keep the two grace and favour stately homes he has the use of at our expense.
And Blair remains in power.
But there is hope! The signs of Labour’s steady slide back into the mire they emerged from are increasingly apparent. Blair’s claim that Nu-Labour would introduce ethical and squeaky clean political values have been shown to be what they were all along – swamp gas disguised as Chanel. Still, there is hope, hope that the dismissal of 250 labour councillors is at the very least the beginning of the end for this shower of thieves, destroyers and political correctness mongers. Guido was treated today to the views of a usually rather moderate lady who expressed the forceful view that the combination of a woman taking charge of the new Department of Communities and Local Government – the cost of changing all the stationery letterheads and signs from the original “Office to Dump Prescott Meantime” had best remain for another post – and her prompt appoinment of an equally inept woman to take charge of the continuing destruction of the UK Fire and Rescue Service came in for rather forceful comment. As the lady in question pointed out Ms Kelly is, after all, the same ex-head of the Department of Education who didn’t know how many paedophiles she had cleared to work with children – and her new sidekick comes from the Northern Ireland Office where she sympathised with Mr Adams and his band of “reformed” bombers.
Let us hope that she is not the only person beginning to question the appointment of women to these important posts for no other reason than that they are women.
The clamour among his own people grows for his departure, but, unlike the Conservative Party mechanism, Labour is incapable of getting him out of office, their much vaunted “system” being far to cumbersome and time consuming – so Teflon Tony is likely to survive. Mind you, the thought of being governed by the scowling occupant of Number 11 does not bear thinking! Not least because, as a Scottish MP he has no business introducing or deciding policies applicable in England but not in his own constituency. That is the rub – and will remain the rub until England has it’s own parliament, not a series of meaningless and Labour perpetuating “Regional” Assemblies, but a proper Parliament in which Scottish and Welsh MP’s cannot vote on English matters which have no effect on their own constituents. Why should England be fragmented while Scotalnd and Wales are united – unless it is intended by our Scottish PM, Chancellor and Cabinet that England should be destroyed and kept supine to pay for their self aggrandising plans and the benefit of their socialist constituents?
It is difficult not to gloat as we watch Blair and his cronies squirm under the spotlight, caught with the trousers down and their mistress’s kimonos up, they make an unedifying sight, but it does make one feel a little celebration is in order as they and their appalling Party start to fall apart. May it be soon and may it come upon them suddenly and devastatingly!
Guido will be celebrating when it does, the hangover will be worth every minute of it!

And I mean that literally. Bad for Tottenham fans; but good for Arsenal ones as their team is now in 4th place and in the champions league even if they pants it at the finals in Paris on the 17th. A nice present for Arsenal as they said good-bye to their home for 93 years.
