Prologue
Normally David did all his deals in Pubs; looking suspicious was
more difficult in a crowded bar. It also helped if you knew the place, in
case the need arose for a hasty exit. Michaela had been none too keen on
this little escapade in the light of the recent death of a fellow Tech
dealer; yet David insisted on it none the less. Keeping a key supplier
happy was of great necessity. You did as much as you could to encourage
them to continue to sell to you. David hadnt struck a decent deal in a
long time and this one was worth quite a bit. The money they would make
selling this new stuff would be considerable. He tried to interest
Michaela by promising her a bonus. She was unmoved.
Chilling reading about France
The piece entitled Barbarians of suburbs target French Jews makes for some rather chilling reading. It is good to see the MSM on this story however; as sometimes bloggers seem to have been whistling in the wind on the subject of anti-Jew attacks in France. They seem to buy the line from the French Police that claims none of these attacks were anti-semitic in nature.
He wanted a Jew, a girl called Audrey told police, referring to Youssouf Fofana, the charismatic leader of the Barbarians, who was listed by the girls in their telephone directories as Youssouf the barbarian
As as the guy is a Muslim you can bet it was for conversation right? This cretin even paid girls to lure Jews to their deaths. Has a familiar ring to it doesn’t it?
And even more chilling reading on Islam…not exactly the religion of peace. An excellent piece on the history of imperial islam as its continuing campaign to subjugate the world.

I agree 100% with Dan Hannan about state (ie: taxpayers) funding of parties.
To wit I wrote this piece for a recent publication:

I should have figured that the noise I heard from my bedroom was not exactly typical for my cat. It was uncommon enough for Relic to cough up hairballs; especially hairballs on her or rather my bed. I was writing away at the computer listening to some music when I heard it. In retrospect, it was almost surprising it was not more odd sounding.
To be fair to Relic, I still think I can call her that, there was none of the normal crashing or wrecking of the place that you would expect in such a raucous event.
I remained oblivious to the entire goings-on until Relic came to let me know that she wished my attention.
I didnt even turn to face her when she entered the room. It was only when I felt a large hand on my shoulder that I realised something was a wee bit amiss. The hand with long claws on it was coloured the same as Relicin a deep grey fur.

Oh dear, Mr Blair and his cronies are not happy, the row over his “Peerages for loans” has prevented his stuffing even more cronies into ermine and lining the Lords with them, and now the Lords have dared to force changes on two of his flagship Bills. As ever, his reaction is to attempt to destroy them. “More Reform” is the cry he and his minions have raised, but wait, his foot soldiers are now afraid – an elected Lords would have democratic legitimacy – it could challenge their throttle hold on power by throwing out all their ill thought through and poorly drafted laws! Oh dear, oh dear! The Commons might lose its grip and have to share power with the very people Labour so despise – the high achievers and property owning classes they consider to be good enough only to bankroll them!
The Gray Monk has a few interesting thoughts on how we should consider reformiing the whole mess that is Parliament and Westminster and perhpas he has a point. After all two elected chambers and an elected cabinet would provide a good balance between the extremists in both. It would also deny any one party leader the absolute power that Blair has exercised so badly and so damagingly for the UK.
Reform of our parliamentary arrangements is now long overdue, particularly in the light of the fact that Blair depends on Sottish and Welsh MP’s to drive through matters which do not affect their constituents and who are free to raid the English tax pot for their and their constiuents benefit. This was a “United” Kingdom until Labour decided to use their insidious capaign of envy and covetiousness of everything anyone else had achieved or acquired through their own abilities and efforts as a way of promoting the collective envy of the Scots and the Welsh to their advantage. The result, hugely expensive gravy trains in both Scotland and Wales paid for by the English taxpayer. There is now only one solution left – the Welsh and Scottish MP’s – and that includes several Cabinet members and the Chancellor of the Exchequer and would be PM - must be excluded from any vote that does not affect anyone in their own constituencies. Parliament must be reformed so that the English have the same degree of representation as their Welsh and Scottish neighbours – and they should not be required to fund any expense incurred by or for those bodies. Parliament must also be reformed to remove the dominance of any one chamber, only by adopting that course can we ensure that we are never again subjected to the ideology of a single party and a collection of rabid single issue merchants using them to destroy the nation from within.
It is not the Lords alone that need reform Mr Blair – it is the entire disaster that you and your cronies call Parliament!
Comments are off for this postEngland, Please Lose It
Well we have submitted one to the Virgin Radio contest. We are going for the b-side spot with our song England, Please Lose It. Hopefully they will play it on air soon; it should be up on the site sometime soon as well. It seems they have lost the hand-delivered track or maybe they just misplaced it for some other reason.
You can hear England, Please Lose It over at Garageband.
Update: A source of mine in the biz tells me that it was probably deep-sixed because the song was too good for what they were looking for to b-side the pro-England footie track. Considering the songs that made the last 5 (well one is decent) I think he might have a point.
