The Commonwealth Games
I am currently watching some of the opening ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games, involving some rather bizarre stuff. The Queen takes all this guff in her stride. Despite my Heinleinian political views, or maybe because of them, I am rather moved by it all, though. This is, in many ways, the Anglosphere at play.
If only we could persuade the Americans to come back in…......

Mirable Dictu! Police have arrested 5 of the worst poster bearers from last months anti-Danish Mohammed Cartoons protest. They are looking at 22 more they think might have broken the law. Wow they try to toss the BNP leader in jail for saying some dodgy things on a secret tape taken in stich-up by the BBC, yet it takes them this long to people who are calling for mass murder out in the open. Please note that Nick Griffin, odious oik that he is, never called for anyone to be killed or for the overthrow of the government. Those who actually support freedom are mustering for a rally in Trafalgar Square a week on Saturday. Lets hope all those who support freedom show up.
