British Public on crack…
This from CMU regarding last night’s Just the Two of Us final.
Anyway, Watson and actress Reeves beat fellow finalists actor Mark Moraghan and former Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton in the final of the celeb music show, each winning ten grand for their chosen charities. Despite generally disappointing view figures (probably down to the fact we never got round to reporting on it here in the Daily), millions called in to vote, raising some 130,000 for the Sport Relief charity.
The winning couple had several problems. First of all Sian Reeves can’t sing for toffee (it was painful at times to listen) and Watson basically could not sing rock & roll. On the other hand the couple that didn’t win; Mark and Natasha produced several blistering performances that were tight and spot on. I guess its possible to be too good. Andy Summers, who was a judge, must be beating his head against a brick wall this morning.
After the “public” result (the judges gave it to the people who could sing) it is no wonder the British public chose a white Rapper to sing their song for Europe.
