Steyn on Smurf Snuff
Classic Steyn stuff. Does anyone actually like the Smurfs btw? I never knew anyone when I was young who liked them and I don’t know anyone now who does.

France and the US won’t let the bloke in but the UK not only let’s the bugger in but gives him a job on a quango. Oliver Guitta tries to make some sense of it.

Like any good zombie flickalright any zombie movieI am not sure good ever qualifies for anything in the genre. Well, Claire and I wanted to hear what was going to happen to hapless colleague Rupert, stuck on an island full of people convinced they were zombies but werent. As a veteran of fights with age-old nasties, Rupert was well equipped to fight real monsters. But then again, he was never good at dealing with the human variety.
I dont always write down my tales for posterity, or well, for anyone, but this one was just different. Rupert was a bear to be around when he first got backIn fact Eden had to reprimand him after one particular outburst. She was able to out stare, growl, menace himjust.
What follows is Claires transcription of Ruperts report of the end of his plight. Claire did a very good job at keeping a straight face as he told us how got out of the mess. We thought it a good idea to get it in writing lest there be any come-back from whatever he had done. So, you see, in some ways we were a bit apprehensive of just which did happen on that island.

First of all Damian exposes one of the leader of the Millions More March coming to DC…you want cred…don’t invite Farrakan to the party. BTW another organised Russell Simmons was on Fox yesterday and refused to condem the NOI leader for his comments about Jews and about the levees in NOLA. Its gets worse Damian has even more on the judenhass scum behind the march.
Harry has a nice piece on the nature of the word coloured in the UK’s race relation industry.
On an as amusing as pathetic note Scott examines some of the anti-Bush lunacy going around including the God comment (ie the one he didn’t make) and the lastest one claiming that Bush makes decisions in cocaine rages. Oh yes and crack addicted squirrels make an appearance as well…not blamed on Bush yet but who knows?
Update: Those nice Germans are helping to fund (and give awards to) anti-Israeli propoganda. Well its not like Germans are known for their encouragement of anti-Jewish “art”. David has more on this appalling development.
Update II: Speaking of hate. Guess who is getting attacked more in the US? Is it Muslims as claimed by CAIR or Jews? Yourish has the ugly truth.

oh, i don`t like the look of the look of today
a great grey cloud is coming our way
so I move through the streets on my own
a-huffing and a-puffing and feeling so alone
Everybody’s probably seen it by now, but note that my presentation introduces it with a song. Is that value-for-money or what?
A reporter for NBC was covering the flooding in the northeast US triggered by recent heavy rains and decided to dramatize the coverage.
Michelle Kosinski has been on the scene for Today in New Jersey, working the story. In an apparent effort to draw attention to herself, in yesterday’s segment she turned up in hip waders, standing thigh-deep in the flood waters.![]()
Taking her act one step further, this morning she appeared on a suburban street . . . paddling a canoe. There was one small problem. Just as the segment came on the air, two men waded in front of Kosinki . . . and the water barely covered their shoe tops! That’s right, Kosinski’s canoe was in no more than four to six inches of water!
An embarrassed Kosinski claimed the water was deeper down the street but that her producers didn’t want to let her go there for fear she’d drift away. But Katie and Matt, perhaps peeved by her attempted scene-stealing, couldn’t resist ribbing her.
A good thing I put off on posting this for a couple of days, as Crooks and Liars turned up a longer version of the video, with Couric and Lauer’s reaction.
