A conf aside
At the Absolutely Equal party I was chatting to an acquaintance of mine who I have known for years. His significant other came over and tried to drag him away. I said, with a touch of humour, “I am not that bad!” She responded with a dash of venom in her tone: “that is not what I heard.”
It seems some fail to grasp the entire point of the AE event. It seems some Tory activists have a ways to go.
I recounted this tale to a waggish friend of mine to wit he responded in a style of an Al Queda video. “Beware, he is the devil in the black skirt!”
PS: After two of my male friends were hit on by a sleazy older gay man (ie fancy a f***?)...someone else said I would not have that problem because I am a flaming heterosexual.

Shane Frith and I witnessed music marketing at the base form. We were on our way Bracknell when two men plunked down between the seats and took out insturments. Their first song, a sort of trainspotters ode, was rather lame but their second tune a protest song against the banning of shaving in public loos was rather fun. I think the key was their “gig” was only two short songs. Then came the bit of brilliance; the two guys had two 4 tracks CDs for sale of their own music. They charged 4 and sold two on the spot. Shane & I who were on our way back from a business meeting were most impressed.
