A sad day for London

Category: Politics

Those bastards at the IOC gave it to London. They have just screwed over the taxpayers of London. This is a truly sad day for the British economy and the rate-payers of London. What a collossal waste of time and money. Thanks a lot you currupt scumbags. I wonder if we can hope for a major bribery scandal to get the London bid disqualified. I wonder if we can get all the idiot athletes who supported this bid to cough up enough money to pay for it. How dare they cost Londoners so much money?

Update: I have had an idea. I suggest that all of us Londoners who are not happy about this curse that has been placed upon us send a bill to that cretin Seb Coe for the extra cost on our council tax. It would be amusing for him to recieve thousands of letters demanding to reimbursed for his tax on non-sports fanatics in London.

Update II: There is no positive spin on this…the fact that Paris lost is irrelevant. There is also no way to justify this travesty in a libertarian sense. It a triumph for statism and socialism.

Just heard a cheer from the pub opposite the office. I was hoping it was because Paris was lumbered with it. Malheureusement, we won. Or lost, as we will soon realise.

Chirac is going to be an even bigger pain in the arse at the G8 summit which should be interesting.

    The Olympics come to London:

    Additional infrastructure: GBP 1bn
    Transport upgrades: GBP 2 bn

Look on Jacques Chirac’s face: priceless!
