War of the World’s review
Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise’s film adaptation of H.G. Well’s “War of the Worlds” had so much potential. With the possibilities of modern graphics, which I will say are well integrated into the film, the film had limitless potential. However, when it was all put together, the film was mired with mediocrity. The characters are not well developed and the plot does not transition well from scene to scene. Although it starts well, the ultimate execution of the story is lacking and leaves the viewer disappointed.

Will it do much good? Probably not and the far left nit-wits will probably spoil things by rioting. However, I hope everyone who attends stays safe and has a good time. I probably won’t watch that much of it as I have piles of CDs to listen to for review and a book, as well…I do plan to watch Floyd, though.
Update: A couple of things: one pathetic and the other idiotic. Pete Doherty was completely off his head when he did ‘Children of the Revolution’ with Elton. He could not even remember the words. And in a nice bit of anti-Americanism we got to see a huge German crowd singing along to those first class knobs Green Day as they played ‘American Idiot’.
Update II: I have to say that Floyd delivered in a big way. 2nd for delivery it was Robbie Williams who was by far the second best on the bill. PF just did the business…it was worth the wait through the dross.
