Justice and the law?
Recent days here in the Soviet Kingdom of Blairdom have seen some interesting insights into the [tiny] minds at work in the pursuit of criminals and the administration of justice. On the one hand we are witnessing a massive manhunt in Surrey to catch a vicious attacker who has left a young mother paralysed after stabbing her in the neck. On the other, we have three examples of law-abiding citizens being targeted by the police, and, in two cases, the courts for taking action against obnoxious “youffs” who acknowledge no law but their own – and whom the police make no attempt to control or defend people against. Even when they are caught and hauled before a court, it is a “softly, softly, ‘now do be a good boy’ approach in which if the little toerag makes even the most insincere and grudging apology (Difficult to even call it that!) to the victim, the court lets them off scot free! But, God help the householder or adult who is driven to make a stand against them! He or she will wind up in jail!
I am willing to take bets that, when and if the Surrey attacker is caught, he will be found to be a drug addict with a “form” for rape and violence, and probably for aggravated burglary and assault. No doubt there will be a horde of members of Amnesty International, Liberty, and the Howard League queuing up to protect his “rights” while the victim and her family are ignored because their “privileged” background “provoked” the attack. It is really time that these “do-gooders” were held accountable every time one of their “misunderstood, deprived and impoverished” offenders commits an offence. Perhaps then they will become a little less willing to argue the case for “protecting” this scum. This sort of crime is not a unique or isolated incident; it is part of a long chain which starts in youth and, if allowed to continue unchecked, ends in a murder or a series of murders!
High spirits in youth is one thing; the absence of any discipline and any appreciation of right and wrong is another. “Poverty” is the excuse in all too many cases, yet, I see all too many of these young yobs wandering about in expensive shoes, expensive “designer” jackets and jeans, and carrying expensive mobile phones. Poor? I think not. Deprived backgrounds? Very likely, backgrounds not made any better by the constant nannying interference of the “Yob Protection” societies who proclaim themselves as the guardians of children.
Recent cases in which this yob culture has triumphed include a teacher now serving a six month jail term for having fired an air pistol over the heads of a group of young vandals who had been targeting her home, her family and their car for months. Did the police do anything about it? Think again, the police did nothing – until she fired the air pistol in desperation! Then they arrested her, charged her with using a fire arm with intent to injure, and she is now serving a six month jail term after the learned judge ruled that she was the greater danger to the public and had no right to defend herself and her property. So much for Mr Blair’s assertion that we do have a right to self defence in this country.
The second instance is even more ludicrous. Two young yobs had been terrorising a family, actually entering their property to smash up their car, break windows, scrawl graffitti, and generally threaten the man, his kids, and his wife. After numerous calls to the police and a complete lack of any action on their part, the man snapped one night and grabbed a bright orange toy gun of his son’s, rushed outside brandishing it and chased the worthless scum away. The police arrived in double quick time because one of the boys reported he had been threatened with an Uzi Sub Machine gun and had “burst into tears” because he was so frightened! The tears must have been tears of laughter as he watched the police tear his victims’ home apart looking for the gun! All they found was the toy, but that didn’t stop them prosecuting, nor did it stop the judge and the jury from convicting him of “using a firearm to threaten” the lives of the “poor innocent yobs!” He too has just been sent down for a six month jail term for defending his home and his family from out of control youths! Some “right of self defence” Mr Blair!
But don’t go, there’s more!
Another man who has had his car vandalised and destroyed five times in his driveway behind his house, has also been sentenced by a court, because, tired of this, he connected the car to the mains in his house. His next door neighbour, no doubt a strongly principled defender of the right of criminals to go about their business unhindered, reported him to the police for “endangering the public”! At least in his case, the Magistrate agreed that there was extreme provocation!
But even better is the case of the father whose seven year old decided to play up in a well-known discount clothing store. The boy grabbed a trolley, rammed it over his smaller sister, bashed it into several displays, tearing clothing off the rails, and then into several other shoppers. When his father tried to remonstrate with him, he decided to be cheeky and refused to obey. So, he got a sharp slap across the back of his thighs and was removed by his exasperated father to the car where the family waited until he had calmed down and apologised. That should have been that, but, enter a do-gooding shopper who followed the family to their car, took down the number and then phoned the police to report that the child was being abused by a “violent and unreasonable man”. At 9.30 pm four days later the father answers his front door to find to policemen demanding to see the child as they have reason to believe he is being abused!
Justifiably the father refused; the boy was asleep and in bed as he should have been! This resulted in something of a confrontation, which culminated in a complaint to the police. After the situation had been slightly defused, the police withdrew, and a Sergeant called the next day, spoke to the parents and the boy and no further action was taken. However, it has left a bad after-taste and, more angerously, has very likely re-inforced the child’s belief that he can play merry havoc anywhere he likes – and his parents will get into trouble if they try to stop him.
This is the society that Blair and his interfering gangs of whinging, whining “do-gooders” whose narrow and perverted vision of a perfect society will destroy us. It is time to turn these idiots out of the offices, the institutions and the organisations that they have perverted. It is time, too, to overhaul our legal system which is now slewed entirely towards protecting the criminals who are destroying the lives and property of the law-abiding citizens of this country. It is time, Mr Blair, for you and your party to get out of the country and admit that you and your perverted socialist agenda are to blame. Not poverty, not other peoples wealth, or their ability to rise above the common herd – but you and your interfering cronies!
