We look to Iraq for guidance

Strange indeed.

Muslim women in many UK cities will have their postal votes cast by husbands or fathers.

Meanwhile in Iraq women were guaranteed the freedom to vote as they pleased; no postal voting there.

Who would have thought we’d see the day when women in Bhagdad would have more freedom to vote than women in Birmingham.

We live in truly strange times.

Not while I’ve got my tinfoil hat on, you can’t. In fact, you only have a vague idea where my house is, and I like it that way. If you can’t find me, what hope do the police have?

The X marks the spot where I live. I think. That’s the maximum resolution of Google’s satellite mapping over this little corner of Canada.
