Was it all a dream?
Just as soon as it happened… it was all over.
Was it just my imagination. Running away with me? (strings).
What happened to that election thing. Watching BBC World today ( can’t get CNN) couldn’t find the greatest leap for ME freedom and democracy (forgive me for coming over all American). Rarely has such an important event been so efficiently wiped from the pages of history.
The BBC was back to US bashing (those darned Yanks don’t like the World Court), and endless Tsunami interviews. Just how many destroyed hotels can a man see?
Coverage of Dafur is bizarre to say the least. But lets be honest here, its been a complete and utter lie.
Sudan’s been having fun with its Blacks and Kaffir as the Arab League, and its African neighbors have made clear they won’t let it be attacked or sanctioned. South Africa, that bastion of African morality, voted to protect Sudan from sanctions, along with Zimbabwe. You can kill Blacks, just not our Blacks, apparently.
A few hours of good bombing the Sudanese capital would bring that war to a close, faster than you can say ‘Belgrade’. But not if SA and its friends get their way.
The BBC has interviewed every hotel owner, peanut seller & hooker from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpa on the Tsunami, at least once. But come the first shoots of Arabian democracy, the microphones go silent.
I noticed a deficit of interviews on election day, leaving good Liberals to explain the day. Protecting the microphones from Arab germs, or viewers from happy Arabs, your guess is as good as mine.
