15 terrorists…not 10…that leaves 5 missing…

Category: ROPMA, Terrorism

The Mombai massacre may have a second part as it seems there were more than just ten terrorists involved and it was nice of CNN to provide recon for the terrorists on the day as it was happening.

And here is a report on the group of evil involved.

Newest reviews…including Guns n Roses…

Category: Metal, Writing

Music Review: Guns n’ Roses, Cryonic Temple, Crystal Eyes, Symphony X, Uli Jon Roth, Weapons of Musical Defence, and Bible of the Devil

Axl’s solo, rather GnR release, lots of power metal, a concept album against Jihad and a few other things.

And here is the famous overflow…

Autumn Black: The Unborn Tragedy

What a load of utter bollocks this lot produces. Its metal-core and its just sounds the same song to song. No variation, no let-up just a drone with some bloke yelling over it. Thankfully the music is mercifully short. I always like to give whatever CD I am listening to a chance but there is just nothing of value here.

I am sure I am going to enrage their fans with this review but man I just dont get how this lot got a deal? Alright I am not going to leave without saying something nice. The band on here clearly know what they are doing with their instruments, songs however would help just a wee bit.

Mr Russia: Teething

First I to say this lot try really hard whether its the sticker with the album or sending the CD on red cassette as well. Nice presentation all around wants me to like this lot. The trouble is that the music therein is just nothing that special. There is obviously a strong admiration for that punk-boy-band the Sex Pistols and all those surrounding that scene.

There is just nothing here that really sounds that original. Its all been done before in the UK by bands from the original movement. This might work for people with no knowledge of the history of punk but not anyone worth their salt in the genre. Skipping Hearts is just a good example of what I am talking about.

A bit more originality and songs would help this band a great deal. They try really hard but just dont have what it takesyet.

These Green Eyes: Relapse to Recovery

Not really the type of music that fits into MMM every week but still worth a mention. This is very modern with all its bouncy melody and ernest lyrical content. The guys here clearly know their craft and are keen to carve out their piece of the Fall Out Boy/New Found Glory. I am sure on the likes of tracks like Sucker Punch and Two Minute Warning they are on the right track.

If you like a solid dose of modern post-punk pop rock then you could do far worse that seek out this lot. They do what they do really rather well and enjoyable music ensues.

Gronk: Tricks of the Light

There is an almost David Gilmor quality to the songs on this album. The lush songs just ooze with feeling and pathos. Its hard not to be moved by such tracks as Every so Often which has an almost epic feel to it. While the orchestration is quite big the songs sound basic and approachable. A lot of effort clearly went into the tracks on this album and it shows.

There is a soundtrack element to this CD that just screams for some of the tracks to be included in the latest American drama. They would work especially well as the show ends in those dramatic emtional scenes.

Why Gronk does not have a deal is beyond me. He clearly has the talent that should warrant such an event.

There is something for everyone on here. Mellow yet still atmospheric and interesting its quite an enjoyable trip. Wanderlust would be perfect head-phone as you drift off to sleep on an over-night flight.

In Memory of the Jewish victims of Mombai…

On another point, it surely surprises no one to learn that at least seven of the terrorists who slaughtered so many in Mombai had British connections. There was, at least, one that was British born. Muslim Britons killing non-Muslim Britons sounds awfully familiar doesn’t it?

It seems that Islamists and their enablers have discovered PJM. Just check out some of the comments below this piece about the Mombai massacre. There is even one post telling the Indians to “bring it on” and attack Pakistan.

Update: You knew this was coming…Jews are being blamed for the Monbai attacks.

Update II: Considering the barbarity of some of the other Islamist terrorists it should not shock anyone that terrorists tortured some of their victims.

Damien Green MP arrested…

Category: UK Politics

Mr Green, who is the shadow immigration minister, was arrested at his home in Kent yesterday by counter-terrorism police officers. The arrest follows a series of leaks to the Conservatives about Government policy, including a sensitive memorandum from the Home Office’s most senior official on crime figures earlier this month.

More on this evolving story over at the Telegraph. This reeks of someone being over-zealous.

In tribute to those who died in Mombai…

Category: Anti-Americanism, ROPMA

Cry Freedom
(Dodge/Haithwaite)

Doncha run, just cry freedom
Dont let the bastards grind you down
Doncha run, just cry freedom
Theyll never take that from this town

Dont let fear get in the way
Courage will be there
Tellin you, tell you to stay
When things are too much to bear

They want us to be afraid
To live life all scared
Freedom is to be paid
Coming to those who dared

Band together in the face of fear
Rally round and be counted
Stand up for what is dear
We will not be routed

Doncha run, just cry freedom
Dont let the bastards grind you down
Doncha run, when you cry freedom
Theyll never take that from this ole town

Doncha run, just cry freedom
Dont let the bastards grind you down
Doncha run, when you cry freedom
Theyll never take that from this ole town

Hear it all its glory on Garageband. The song was written as a two-fingered salute to all those who would stop us living our lives the way we please. Its in memory of those who have died to Islamist violence where-ever they may be, but especially in New York & London. Its also a tribute to all those who day in day out go out and do their best to protect us from Islamist terrorism both official and unofficial; whether in Iraq, Afganistan or our home countries. Whether they be American, British, Australian or from any other nation standing tall against the Islamist hordes.

Stay vigilant, stay safe and stay alive…

Why You Can’t Travel Back In Time And Kill Hitler

Category: Politics

supernormalityThat’s because there’s no such thing as a time machine, duh. Not that that stops some people from trying:

One of the bylaws of the International Association of Time Travelers states that you cant kill Hitler. The problem is, everybody kills Hitler on their first trip. This leaves more experienced time travelers the onerous task of undoing the historical edits of n00bs.

He’s unstoppable; unstoppable I tell you.

Mombai massacre…

Is this the attack they were predicting when Obama was elected? Its already being touted as India’s 9/11. Westerners were targeted and everyone else was just in the way. We shall see how the West reacts to this.

There is a strong whiff of al Queda about the whole thing.

It seems they especially targeted Jews.

GrrlScientist presents Singing in Slow Motion posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “Birdsong is the primary model system that helps scientists understand how the brain produces complex sequences of learned behavior, such as playing the piano. In songbirds, there are many interconnected brain regions that play specific and important role in the production of song. These brain regions are known as “song control nuclei.” Two song control nuclei, the High Vocal Center (HVC) and the robust nucleus of the arcopallium (RA), are especially important for birdsong because damage to either prevents the bird from singing altogether. It was hypothesized that either HVC or RA could orchestrate the rhythm of the bird’s song, acting like a sort of biological metronome, but the technology did not exist to identify which song control nucleus might play this role—until now. In an elegant combination of physics and biology, two researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge invented a tiny new device that allowed them to identify HVC as regulating the rhythm of birdsong.”

Marsha Hudnall presents Preventing Holiday Weight Gain: 10 Tips to Guarantee Holiday Weight Gain posted at A Weight Lifted, saying, “The annual holiday food fight is about to begin. You know, the one where conflicted women nationwide (even worldwide) face down rich-food eating traditions.

This year, to help women understand what doesnt work when it comes to happy holidays, the healthy-weight experts at Green Mountain at Fox Run have come up with some sure-fire tips to take the guesswork out of gaining those holiday pounds. We counter them with sensible advice for emerging from the holidays feeling great. For Guaranteed Holiday Weight Gain Before the Holidays Diet! Diet! Diet! Lets face it, you expect to overeat during the holidays so why not get a jump on weight loss now? If youre feeling truly ambitious, try dieting during the holidays, too; the deprivation will be highly effective at driving you to overeat. Our real advice: Learn to eat what you want now in a way that leaves you feeling great. Then the holidays wont pose any special challenge, and you can enjoy them fully. Work out extra hard and long every day. You can make up for those times during the holidays when you wont want or have the time to do anything. Our real advice: When we overdo on exercise, were more likely to burn out, or worse yet, injure ourselves, and guarantee we dont want to do anything. Slow and steady wins the race. Start weighing yourself daily. Youll be able to follow your weight up and down the scale, and cut back even more when youve gained an ounce. Then youll heighten your feelings of deprivation even more, further guaranteeing holiday overindulgence. Our real advice: Toss out the scale now and for always. It generally doesnt give the instant gratification we seek, and often negatively impacts our motivation to take care of ourselves. During the Holidays Take on as much work as you can. If you dont do it, who will? The holidays just arent the holidays without all the fuss! Our real advice: Choose wisely in what you commit to. You may end up with fewer or simpler celebrations but youll enjoy the holidays much more. Surround yourself with family and friends who make you feel guilty about eating. Its easier to say no when your spouse, mother, sister, daughter, friend looks disapprovingly at you as you reach for that wonderful holiday sprinkled cookie. Our real advice: Educate family and friends about the real impact of their attempts to control what you eat. If they wont listen, minimize your time around them when youre eating. It may mean missing a party or meal, but you might feel much better as a result. Forget about stress management for now. Youre too busy!! Just focus on getting what you need to get done. And be sure to really have too much to do before big parties. If you can pick a fight with your spouse on the way to a party, all the better to guarantee extra emotional overeating. Our real advice: Take care of yourself physically and mentally to help keep a balanced view on whats important during busy times. Maybe the easiest thing to do: Get some exercise! Physical activity refreshes, relaxes, revitalizes and will add energy and enthusiasm to your life. Make it a regular part of your day during the holidays and after. Before & During Parties Make sure every social event revolves around food. If you throw the party yourself, make too much food, especially desserts! Set up nuts and other goodies early so you can pick at them all day long while you skip meals. You do eat fewer calories that way, right? Our real advice: Traditional foods are a big part of festivities, but holidays dont have to be all about food. Plan fun activities such as pumpkin bowling (knock down gourd pins with small pumpkins), a pine cone toss (count how many pine cones you can land inside a hula hoop) or just fun and refreshing walks through the woods, around the neighborhood talking to friends you pass. Set a hands-off rule for all the rich foods youll encounter. If you just say no, youll be able to nip any weight gain in the bud! Our real advice: When we forbid foods or label them bad, we set ourselves up for overeating them. Again, learn to eat foods you love even those rich in calories, fat, sugar in a manner that makes you feel well. That way, youll enjoy them and, if youre following a healthy lifestyle, youll enjoy a healthy weight, too. Go ahead and buy all those goodies on sale in jumbo packages. Theyre for your guests; they wont create any problem for you having them around. Our real advice: Good intentions aside, mere exposure to food often sets us up for wanting to at least taste it, especially if weve got the idea we shouldnt. Help yourself by buying only as much as you really need, and even then, it might help to keep goodies tucked out of sight in the pantry until party time. Bank calories whenever possible. Skip breakfast and lunch to make sure youll overeat at the party. Our real advice: Feeding yourself well all the time leaves you better nourished and able to choose wisely whether at parties or the food court at the mall.”

DWSUWF presents Monday Miscellany – Special Bear Market Blues Edition posted at Divided We Stand United We Fall, saying, “To solve a problem that was created by too much government spending, too much government debt, too much easy government sponsored credit, and a market distorted by massive government intervention we are now given to understand that we need to increase government spending, government debt, and create more market distortions with more government intervention. That strikes me as insane.”

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of carnival of the vanities using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Pity John the Dancer

Category: Television

My wife has reported on the fact that John Seargent has felt the need to quit Strictly Come Dancing due to all the whingeing from his fellow stars. Despite the fact that he was very popular with the public some of his fellow contestants and some behind the scenes felt the need to pressure him out.

Yet another case where patronising entertainment elites attempt to over-ride the public feelings on the matter because it offends their high & mighty sensibilities.

BNP name release…

Category: UK Politics

Although the BNP is a pretty vile organisation, being national socialist and all, that does not mean that the release of their entire membership online is in any way a good thing. It was clearly meant as a dirty trick by someone to ruin lives and shame anyone from voting BNP. There is a possibility that while people might not want to join the organisation they will vote that way in defiance of the establishment or in sympathy.

Whomever leaked the list should be found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Even posting a link to the list is illegal. As long as the BNP is a legal party their members have the same right as other party’s members.

I am disgusted by the gloating about this by people who should really know better.

Update: A BNP member’s house has been firebombed not surprisingly. How long before someone from the list gets killed?

Huckaloon is plugging his latest book where he pretty much trashes everyone. Of particular interest is his vitriol against libertarians of all ilks, especially those in the Republican Party. Needless to say they are firing back and standing up for themselves.

This blog has never liked the guy, not surprisingly, given his penchant for authoritarianism and Christian Democratic (continental) socialism. (Have a search to your right for some choice words about him.)
