Christians being tolerant

January 09th, 2005 | Category: Political Correctness, Politics, Religion

This Sunday comes news that two different lots of Christians are behaving like intolerant numbskulls. First we have the fools have a fit becuase the BBC broadcast Jerry Springer the musical. I watched most of it and found it rather amusing indeed. It will shock no one to hear that the people protesting outside the BBC had never even seen what they were condeming. There have ever been death threats made against several leading figures in the BBC. How pathetic… Ironically enough, Christians were joined by Muslims outside the BBC to protest against the Opera.

Pagans, wiccans, and occultists have been mocked and been misrepresented by the media, popular culture, and religion for millenia; welcome to the club.

Meanwhile over at tolerance central the we don’t hate the Jews honest Vatican is now offering course on how to counter the occult. They bleat about “a worrying increase in interest in the occult”.

Of course everyone who shows an interest in the occult is going to become a satanist…kinda like every Catholic priest likes fidling with young boys right?

Another choice quote:

“For young people, interest in Satanism can start with a CD, then move on to the internet. From there, it sometimes develops into seemingly harmless things like going to cemeteries, but sometimes can lead to murders.”

Unlike becoming a devout follower of Rome which can sometimes lead to mass genocide, torture, and all types of abuse.

Meanwhile a Labour minister has played the judenhass card with Muslims. Pollard reports on this nasty bit of electioneering as well.

Update: Janet Daley defends the people above, but does share my distaste for the Labour minister’s comments.

well, let me tell you about the way she looked
the way she acted and the color of her hair
her voice was soft and cool, her eyes were clear and bright
but she’s not there

The boys (at least I assume they’re boys) at 3DM Community are having a prettiest CG (computer graphics) girl contest.

Warning: Not all the pictures are SFW.

Most amateur (and many professional) CG attempts at capturing female beauty are somewhat offputting. And I’m not just referring to the ones that portray them as lizardoid space vampires.

There’s just something mannequinish and airbrushed about them. Also, many CG geeks have never even seen an actual woman, so that’s got to be a disadvantage.

Some, though, are stunning:
