Welcome to undisciplined, ignorant, but Cool Britannia!
Welcome to Mr Blair’s wonderful new world of Cool Britannia! Out with the old, out with respect, destroy the Army, Navy, Airforce, the Police, the Ambulance, the Health Service, and the Fire Service. Pull down the Churches (unless it’s the one Mr Blair likes to be photographed in with his wife) and replace them with Mosques. Replace British law with the Sharia, let’s shop ‘til we drop on Sundays, but stop for the Muslim prayer calls five times a day.
Oh, and let’s let the yobs pull down the War Memorials and sell the bronze name plaques for scrap.
You may think I am going outside of reality on that one, but you’d be wrong. This is precisely what has been done to a Memorial in Huddersfield, once a centre of British industry in Yorkshire and now one of New Labour’s monuments to the failure of “Multi-Culturalism”. The Memorial to the fallen from Huddersfield in the First World War has not just had its bronze plaques listing the names of the dead stolen, but the figure of the soldier which crowned it has been pulled down, totally destroying the plinth on which it stood. This is the reality of the Britain Mr Blair and his coterie of limp wristed “Focus Groups” have fostered. This is the result of the years of “Rights” without any mention of responsibilities, the result of fostering envy among those who are seen as “deprived”, and an expectation that they will be given a share of everyone else’s hard work. This is the result of never teaching self discipline which – horror of horrors – sometimes means a sharp smack on the rear of some brat throwing a tantrum because it has not been allowed to destroy someone else’s right to enjoying the environment, their rest, or their reward for hard work. This is the result of a criminal justice system which rewards the wrongdoer and punishes the victim.
This, Mr Blair, is the final result of your Party’s “war” on everything that holds any society together.
Let us hope that the police will speedily track down the filth that did this. Let us hope that when they do, the courts will impose a custodial sentence which reflects society’s revulsion at their actions. Sadly, neither is very likely to happen. The police are far too busy harassing law abiding citizens who dare to carry pen knives or defend themselves from the murderers, rapists, and muggers that our justice system allows to roam freely. Our courts will no doubt decide, in view of their obvious deprivation, poverty, and poor education that the perpetrators should be given “community service orders” instead of deprivation of liberty.
It makes one fair long for the days of public floggings – and better still, public hanging! Even that would be too mild a punishment for this scum – and for the politicians and their lobbyists who have created these monstrous abberations in our dying society.
