Trouble with Trouble de Ville?

Just got this rather interesting email from the author of a book I recently reviewed on Blogcritics.

My novel ‘Trouble De Ville’ has been pulled off the shelves at a bookstore in Asheville, NC. They said it was ‘inappropriate’ for their store. After further inquiries a store employee told me my novel was ‘too racy’ for them.
I went to their store website, www.malaprops.com, and did a keyword search of erotica, thinking perhaps they would not carry any books on erotica since mine was too ‘racy’, but to my amazement my keyword search turned up 3318 matches for erotica. How about that? Censorship at it’s finest. They refuse to answer any emails sent to them about this matter, so I am taking the fight to media outlets and anti-censorship organizations.

I hope you don’t mind that I cite your review in my missives to the press and said anti-censorships organizations.

Yours,
Steven Denton

Right on, Steve. It used to be that “Banned in Boston” was a guarantee for a book’s popularity and high sales figures. You may have discovered that “Banned in Ashville” will work as well! Keep up the good work! I will order the book on the strength of the review you cite. Mater
