It ain’t solved
Those bastards holding out on the Operation Give have gone back on their promises. So far, it looks O.G. is getting ripped off for $30k. Time to pay them a visit, methinks. Take along a few of the heavy mob as well (might I suggest Kim du Toit).
Comments are off for this postThe BBC, finding employment for Liberals unemployable in the real world.
The BBCs independent political editor, Andrew Marr, mused today on Start the week. We know American Radio as Right wing, shock jock, what happened?
No, Andrew, most independent, non-state owned talk-radio is right wing, because thats what most people want. Law and order, immigration control, low taxes, and other Socialist nightmares. This may come as shock to Socialists, particularly those cloistered in a nether world of 60s clichs, but the rest of us are quite able to cope with alternative views.
Mrs Buckhannon agreed in Radio 4. Word in your ear. Right wing views are simpler, she explained thats why theyre popular on American talk-radio. Words fail me.
BBC1 News got to the point, when discussing a Senate vote on the Sudan. Will the US make Sudan an issue it pondered and therefore distract attention from Iraq. Those dastardly Americans, even when they do something good, it’s actually of evil intent.
Sure, this is the kind of laughable, conspiratorial nonsense the Socialist Worker was created for. But presented in an upper class accent on the BBC, it almost starts to make sense.
1 commentForeign elections and Blair…
So would a Kerry win be good or bad for Blair? Ratchel Sylvester examines the prospects with either outcome. Towards the end of the piece there is at least one hint about a possible Tory strategy. This one comes from Liam Fox, so you know it’s not very clever. Does Liam actually believe that the British public are going to buy the Tories as born-again anti-war?
Comments are off for this postTrouble with Trouble de Ville?
Just got this rather interesting email from the author of a book I recently reviewed on Blogcritics.
My novel ‘Trouble De Ville’ has been pulled off the shelves at a bookstore in Asheville, NC. They said it was ‘inappropriate’ for their store. After further inquiries a store employee told me my novel was ‘too racy’ for them.
I went to their store website, www.malaprops.com, and did a keyword search of erotica, thinking perhaps they would not carry any books on erotica since mine was too ‘racy’, but to my amazement my keyword search turned up 3318 matches for erotica. How about that? Censorship at it’s finest. They refuse to answer any emails sent to them about this matter, so I am taking the fight to media outlets and anti-censorship organizations.
I hope you don’t mind that I cite your review in my missives to the press and said anti-censorships organizations.
Yours,
Steven Denton
